I came to visit Guatemala for three months, sixteen years ago. Antigua has been my home ever since.
I will retired there in 3 years I can't wait to be there I just love the weather even if I want to go to the beach is only one hour tropical weather and the water is warm.
My girlfriend is from Guatemala. We’re living in the us but are planning to move there to be with her family in the next few years. I can’t wait
My wife is from Guatemala. I told her when we retire we are moving there
I just spent 4 weeks in Guatemala 🇬🇹 I was nervous for a while but never had any problems, I spent 4 weeks studying Spanish in Antigua! Great experience
And then I see this clip. Ha! Yes. Thanks Dan! I loved seeing it come full circle with me welcoming YOU back to Guatemala.
@@humans-of-planet-earth my only hope is to one day officially get that title.
Yes, in 2019 I took a trip with Intrepid that started in Antigua, then went to Rio Dulce and Tikal before heading into Belize and Mexico. Arrived at night, so I was amazed the next morning when I went up to the restaurant on the hotel roof and saw a volcano belching smoke not too far away! I did a volcano hike on Pacaya, organized by Ox Expeditions in Antigua. Beautiful country 🙂
That’s so cool! I also did the same exact intrepid tour in mid-November 2019. Also went to Acatenango with Ox
Hey I started following you because I was traveling to Costa Rica, thanks for your content!
Its funny you mention the volcano throwing smoke, I used to work for this big American Corp in Zone 10 and we use to get visited by people from the States all the time, one time this guy calls me in the middle of the night all freaked out he was like man I just saw this huge volcano erupting through my hotel's window, what is happening? I was laughing so hard, I was like chill man this is normal don't worry its just a small eruption it wont reach your room I think is too high. (it was during a time that it was very active and you could see lava flowing without the need of binoculars).
I am moving there in a couple of weeks. So excited! Could you (or have you) make/made a video on buildings to buy a condo in? Because I’ve been looking like crazy, and it seems I’ll have to couch it up with a friend and look at places once I’m there.
Oh that's very interesting to hear! Would love to know how everything turned out for you! Which zone did you moved and how is it? 😍
Nice to know you felt in love with guate.. planning on retiring there as well. Be safe , keep your guard up.
Welcome to Guatemala 🇬🇹
Good job
Is it quieter there than Mexico? How much is it to live there? Any videos to recommend for cost of living breakdown?
Yes , Guatemalans treat withe north americans the opposite way they treat guatemalans here in the border or in the south.
I'm going . 3 years left to retire. I'm done with the U S. FULL OF SHIT. THE U S TAKE YOYR MONEY.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes...
@@Margerat-x That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@@nwachukwuchionyere My advisor is Victoria Carmen Santaella
You can look her up online ...
@@Margerat-x The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
