I dont think its fair due to the fact teams can purposely sit out their star players and load up on good picks until they are full of stars on their team. This is why nba changed it to be more random, with weighted chances to get the best pick. It makes it more interesting of not knowing

That’s a weird opinion in my opinion. 😂 Maybe the NBA should not allow their starters to be sat unless for injury and an allotted percentage of rest time a year. But allowing near playoff teams a chance at #1 overall picks is insanity. You will never convince me otherwise just like you wont convince me the MLB is a fair sport without a min/max salary cap being enforced.

Pistons have moved up one spot in their entire history in the lottery. From 2 to 1 in 2021. They have moved down 12 spots total in just the last 3 years. I think Weaver is a terrible GM. But being an objectively bad team. And moving down the maximum amount year after year. Tells me the odds need to be modified somewhat.
