    I'm experimenting with formats since this is a new channel. Let me know how you all like this split video format, part 1 for modifications and part 2 for painting. Or let me know if you wanna see me do any kits in particular or if you have any suggestions. Thank you for your time!

      While the video was still great showing all the processes in detail,
      generally people (myself included) tend to prefer to not be "blueballed", seeing part of the build and getting so close to the end result, not seeing it, having to wait for another video.
      Although, of course segmented videos works for *very lenghty* builds that required a heck lot of time, and people doesn't mind at all if the completion video is uploaded soon after.
      So in the end I think you should do however you find most comfortable BUT in the cases of 2-part , don't let the second one wait much at all.
      Even if you're already done editing the video for the first part and not done painting and then editing for the second video, you should wait before releasing the first part to get it closer to whenever you'd be done with the second part.
      This course of action also happens to favorize the algorithm.

      @@Blazinter Thank you for the feedback man! I appreciate it. The second video is undergoing editing and recording of the voiceover. Target release is next week.
      Part of the experimentation process is me finding the most efficient way to get videos out since it's the most tedious part of a build for me (I prefer masking). 😄
      Again, thank you for the input!

    Nice job with your kit. I recently took a HG Zaku 2 FZ and I customized it into a soldier from Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade and now I’m scratch building an ammunition belt for the rifle that I will wrap it around to it’s back and up over the shoulder. I love all of the creators out there and their creations. I know lots who are better than me and I love seeing the variety of imaginations at work in this hobby. Happy building.😊

    Priming an assembled kit to identify parts not needing to be painted is a great idea! Definitely applying that approach to a future build!

    Ngl, you could've just stopped here. The primed modified kit looks awesome like that as well 😅 That is not to say that the finished one doesn't look great, which it does. I dig the proportions. Excited for part two :)

    Great video man! I think it's very interesting to see al the specific details you add to the kit. Also may thanks for adding the names of the tools you use. I think splitting the building and painting in 2 videos is good, so that you can go into more detail in each part without making a super long video. I just wouldn't wait more than 1-2 weeks to release the next part, to keep people interested in the build. Personally, I'd like to see an HG Ez-8 as the next build, to match your gouf ;)

    can i ask a question at 5:41 you have these cloth things on your fingers may i ask what they are for, just not getting finger prints on the plastic?

    • @johnnymechahand
      @johnnymechahand  11 місяців тому

      Not really for finger prints since I'll wash the parts before painting. They protect your fingers when working especially with hobby knives. They are called Anti-cut finger cots by Dspiae.

    Yeah the poseability is great but the lack of poly caps really bugs me, like what if I'm one of those people who like to do customs and kit bashes and making scratch builds sometimes you need poly calves because your ability to make plastic on plastic joints doesn't work that well

    • @johnnymechahand
      @johnnymechahand  20 днів тому

      I get that sentiment. I am recently trying more kitbashing for personnal projects and having polycaps is much simpler than trying to figure out how to make different joints work.
