Thanks for showing people that there are many nice areas of the Belize District to live in, because there has been a few videos on the internet that are downright deceiving. These people choose the worst part of the Belize City to visit and shoot a video. All cities have poor run down areas. Even in Japan. I know this because I have been there. There are many parts of Belize that are very nice and peaceful. and this is why this small country attracts so many people. Especially retirees and people sick and tired of the rat race. Towns such as Gallon Jug, San Ignacio and Corozal, Orange Walk, Placencia , Spanish Lookout and a host of other towns are quite nice.
I am glad you liked my little drive through the city. Those areas (Kings Park, West Landivar and University Hights) are know as good and livable. They are on high demand. At the end (of the video), to the left is another high demand area, Buttenwood Bay.
I spent my childhood in Belize. I never heard of West Landivar and University Heights. Or Buttenwood Bay. Thanks for the info. Also, I just saw a video of a Large High School (700 plus students) operated by Mexicans for Mexican kids, I guess. In Belize. My homeland is a weird place. The video is called " Escuela Mexico en Belize".
Beautiful greetings from México, I lived in the UK for a while I know Belize was a british colony, are still there any british descendants? I saw a man on tv who claim to be the head(or second in charge)of a national sugar company from Belize but he was white and speaked in a perfect Queen's english, I 've always seen some belizeans in México but never one like him that's why I'm asking. All the best for Belize❤
The property owners in Belize City should invest a little in the upkeep of their properties; also, most of the newer houses lack any sign of architectural design or vision and almost all houses need a good painting !!
Honestly, the entire place looks like the bad side of the tracks in any Florida town, except with the addition of bars over all the windows including second story windows. Someone please point me to a video of the nice part of town.
This is the nice part of town. Bare in mind that you are comparing one of the world's greatest powers to a small developing country. So, if the place looks like Florida then it must be good :) After all, millions dream of living in the USA and Florida.
@@atama203 When I say the bad side of the tracks, I am talking about an industrial forgotten part of town that that the city has given up on, the police are afraid to patrol at night, and is rarely visited by most of the population except for transients and those recently released from jail.
They government of Belize is very aware of the complaints by the people regarding many of the streets, and they are spending at least 70 million to fix many of the streets. The 70 million is for Belize City alone. I have seen the results in resent videos. Thanks or sharing this great video.
Yes, the government does spend a lot of money on roads, but I am afraid that they lack on planning and coordinating with other institutions. For some reason the roads are bad again after a big rain... poor materials used, may be?
ay I think it is a combination of hiring incompetent contractors and poor materials and methods. Traditionally, most of the heavy construction especially paving where done by Mexicans and Guatemalan Companies. It was the Mexicans that built most of the new Capital city of Belmopan back in the early 1970's.
Thanks for sharing this video. 😊 I recognized certain areas. I'm a true Belizean.
