What a beautiful man. My Dad has MND and the deterioration was utterly heartbreaking. He was an absolute hero to me and my family, and I’m sure Rob’s family feel the same. I haven’t been able to watch him being carried over the finish line of the marathon yet. It’s too much. I will, though - and huge respect and love to all who love and support him ❤
Sending best thoughts for your dad, and you. And wishing you all strength because sadly that internal strength is what you will need as his condition progresses. ❤
My wife has ms and shes not even 40, it affects people differently and shes a figher, when I see her struggling and she trying to fight it it nearly brings me to tears but I try not to break down in front of her as thats not what she needs to see. Both rob and my wife are an inspiration.
@@PECKTHERECK shes trying her best to lead a normal life as possible but she does struggle with standing walking, pains and so much more, she's a positive person so she does fight it and tries to keep positive, but obviously there are days when she breaks down as it gets too much, but I'm here so at least she can count on me
Just watched ,,,,There is only one Rob burrows !!! on TV, You are such a brave man with a beautiful heart and an amazing wife & children, your soul will live on, RIP, Rob Burrows you are a Legend on and of the Pitch.
Absolute warrior, no one would have begrudged you feeling sorry for yourself, but you took it head on like a real champion. RIP Rob Burrow. Your legacy both on and off the pitch will be remembered forever
A few sports stars have been diagnosed with this horrendous disease including footballer Marcus Stewart and I can't help but admire the bravery and shear determination they all show in coming to terms with it! I'm the first to say I'd fall apart if I was ever diagnosed with this and if I was to EVER "make it" financially, I'd want to throw everything into doing research around the clock finding a cure to beat this! I don't follow rugby league but I have huge admiration for this man and I hope all is done to make the time he has left as fulfilling and comfortable as possible!
I'm a Wigan fan and I remember being scared every time he was on the pitch because he was dangerous, if they left a gap or had a weakness he would find a way to exploit. He was a cracking player
Or man that has give me the kick up the arse i needed and 80%of the population need.sat crying like a girl he was 1 of my fav players watched him all my life absolutely gutting news
Heartbreaking to watch anyone diagnosed with MND especially one of your childhood heroes 😥 always was one of the best scrum halfs in rugby even been so small it was his massive lion heart that makes him such a great player and an inspiration to any rugby player..your not alone Rob pal all the blue and amber army are behind you💛💙💛💙💛💙
What an awful awful disease. Rob had so much to give and was cut down in his prime with a young family and loving wife. RIP rob you will be missed loads.
Am a hull fc fan and watching rob burrow play rugby league he is one tough lad an a great player and I've no doubt that he'll fight this like he did when he played rugby. My Heart goes out to rob burrow and his family.
You never know what is around the corner for you ? I honestly hope soon they can find a cure for these god awful life changing killer's, MS, Parkinson's, MND, ALS, it's bloody heartbreaking...
It's so awful , I really don't know how they are going to cure something that kills cells in the brain and spinal chord . I just hope they can develop a treatment that can slow it down and people can live with it and not die of it. My cousin was a rugby player like Rob and he got an awful kick in the spine playing rugby . He got MND and died at age 41. He was 6ft 7 as well.
Wish him the very best what a great guy no pity in him but raises awareness and donating money and his time to motor noron disease there are many illnessess and diseases that cant be cured hopefully one day we will find a way to cure this not well known disease. All the best to him and his young family
Such a cruel disease I didnt know anything about j till now, such a shame this has taken hold of you, you didn't deserve this x legend xx keep smiling that beautiful smile ❤
Everyone is behind you rob. Legend of the game. Idol for most people watching you play. As most people realise when they see you play, 100 percent tougher that you would appear. Takle it head on, as you are in this video keep your chin up. Best wishes. M.O.T
As a southerner brought up on rugby league through my Morecambe born dad leeds is my favourite team and rob my favourite player in a great side .He is my hero
Just been watching b burrows rugby highlights can't believe how good he was small bloke with plenty of heart brilliant player see great solo try l hope they find a cure for mnd .
He’s got a mixed voice here. At times he’s about 90% there, other times it’s quite bad. I’d reckon he was starting with this when he was still playing. Heartbreaking really, regardless. A man in his late 30s with young children and potentially a brilliant life ahead. Hopefully at the very least a mechanism to slow the MND effects is found soon.
I COME FROM NYC AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE A CURE FOR THIS IN ROB'S LIFETIME MAYBE IT'S GONNA HAPPEN SOON. MAYBE HE WILL LIVE TO SEE HIS SON JACKSON PLAY RUGBY FOR LEEDS .RUGBY LEAGUE IS MUCH BETTER THE UNION AND ONE REASON IS HIM ROB BURROW ( THE MIDGIT ) THE BEST THERE EVER WAS NO ONE BETTER.LETS HOPE AND PRAY FOR ROB AND HIS FAMILY...... Poor twat sounds absolutely hammered its truly heartbreaking he was always such a tough little fella and seemed to get knocked out every other match but Rob was like a Yorkshire terrier. Shows how fragile we all are. All the best Rob to you and your family.
Please edit this post. Your maybe being casual, as the issue is very serious. But I think your comment would be better thought of if you used compassionate words. The latter part of your message shows you understand. The beginning shows disrespect, that I hope you didn't intend.
Poor man, just seen him being carried at the end of the marathon, the deterioration is heart breaking.
Yes it’s awful a hideous disease you wouldn’t wish on your worse enemy
RIP Rob - What a strong and brave man you were. Fly high buddy 😢😢😢
You can tell what an amzing dad he was. God bless you Rob
Legend of a man. Hitting it head on just like you did on the field. Top bloke
Not the best phrasing

@@orbitingdecay6797 yes I no this, I'm just making a point how they both have an illness and are fighting it.
How is your wife now my friend?

It hurts so much, this was him 9 months ago. And to see him now, hardly can speak, wasting away.... this disease is so so awful. Love you Rob❤️

Looking back at this now it’s so sad. Such a deterioration. Amazing bloke, my absolute sporting idol. Keep fighting Rob
Had to seek this out for the same reason. What an awful disease, can only think of his family watching the bbc report just now.
Travis Brooks the documentary tonight is going to be an awful watch. The report had me in tears, seeing him have to use a phone to communicate
He lasted a lot longer then most - such a strong brave man ❤
Money talks
Money won't help you with mnd @@dwaynedibley997

Same as a Saints fan, Rob was intimidating to burly 6ft guys and thats saying something. He was a sensational player
