    Been reading lots of comments. Its so interesting how other warehouse do it. I swear i have to be at the best warehouse there is in terms of pay. Our pay is based on your overall percent for the day which can be extremely high if you're really fast. What we call "bangers". Ive been doing it 3 years and one of the top. I usually pull around 170% but have pulled up to 190%. We have some guys who can pull 200% all day every day. Insane and 200 is $44/ hr. and 100% is aroun $22/hr.

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  Рік тому +1

      Our standards are set up different. It would be impossible to hit 200% pulling boxes. Maybe on a lift. But even then our incentive wouldn't be that much at 200%. We get extra by working ot. Ot starts after 8hrs of work and that's about 39/hr.

    • @BedSheetsYT
      @BedSheetsYT Рік тому +1

      @Xqeze yeah I understand every warehouse is different. Thats what I find so interesting. We get time and a half at ot as well. However lots of the fastest people never see it. Because once you hit your "minutes" then you csn leave. So for example if for the day we have 50k cases and 15 selectors. The equal workload between everyone would be to pull orders totaling in 600 minutes. But if I do that in 6 hours I can go in 6 hours, whereas slow guys will still be working a while after.

      @Anthony Stephens Equal work load? That's crazy! I wish it worked like that here. We finish when we finish. I keep pulling until there's nothing left to pull, and then we help other pullers finish their last order. Or we start pulling for 2nd shift so they can get a head start. The work isn't done till the forman is fully satisfied lol.

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze  Рік тому +7

      The head set will tell you. I think Publix uses similar system but they might have a sticker system. The sticker system is very old and isn't used as much anymore. Just say that you get a sense of accomplishment from doing hard work. Let them know you have goals like saving for a house/ building future in the area. Give them the impression you wish to make this a career even if you know its temp or whatever.Create the image that you are confident, strong and team player. Or just drool on your chin and say "I like box" "I lift box" "box nice". Either way you will probably get the job. It's hard to find people willing to do hard labor anymore.

      Technically we are supposed to. We have alot of upper pick slots and the top back layer is impossible to get until the front is clear. Also it's just not done very often and it's not enforced. I try to if it's not too difficult for me. But we don't really have time to be that orderly with which box we grab. Standards are very high and we grab first box we can see and throw it on the pallet.

They said it was for safety reasons for layer picking. Which is total BS. Reaching and grabbing boxes in an odd manner isn't safe. Also, they would write you up in the category of safety, 2 write ups and it's a step one. 4 you were fired. If you pick from a slot that wasn't layer picked you either had to, 1) fix the slot, 2) or risk getting wrote up, 3) or tell on your co workers so they get wrote up. It was quite ridiculous.
