I enjoyed watching your video. I have played this rhythm many times in samba bands and I have also heard it in Ewe music from Ghana, and now I know the name of it! I noticed that the rhythm you play right at the start of the video is slightly different to the one you teach us to play!
Thanks for the feedback, and yes you are right. The rhythm is slightly different but the structure/backbone is the same one taught in the video. Plus you could make different variations by skipping a count or playing double on the other. It’s actually fun if you have multiple people playing together. Thanks for dropping by
