Deconstructing a failed Cricut EasyPress Mini

The Circut EasyPress Mini is a fancy iron for applying vinyl to fabric. When something goes wrong they start beeping and fail to heat up, in this video we take one apart to see how it's constructed and if there's any chance to repair it.

Thank you, that whas helpfull to unmount without detroying anything. But same issue like you : heat resistor break inside the sole. No spare part available, and go to the trash can...

I too had an extra wire nut floating inside. I found it before it fell out, and it looks like someone put it there as a spacer or insulation to keep the wires from shorting anything on the power board. Surely just an overly-diligent assembly-person and not official Cricut spec...?

My new Mini Iron was my Christmas present, I used 7 times and now is beeping, Basically there is no fixing !!! thank you for the video and I'm calling Cricut. So disappointing.

Your conclusion is that the plate has no continuity, that's why it doesn't heat?
