Very nice...Very proud of being a Filipino by birth and an American soldier by choice...
So what, . . . Its better to serve for the Inang Bayan though , . . . Your Filipino but your choice is American, then your an American , your confused of your gender or something ? 😂
@@lechristine1372you can be proud of both ancestral lineage and your home country, it's not rocket science. Can Filipino Americans not be proud of both parts of their cultural identity? Only one confused here is you buddy.
@@lechristine1372
🤫
@@draysmusicalshtposts6340 Filipino Americans tend to mix up their ancestry, at times disregarding themselves as Asians and claiming an identity which they aren't, like being a pacific islander.
My goodness, for the people who are one of the friendliest and happy people on earth they do have deadly, brutally efficient blades and not only that they have one of the deadliest practical martial arts in the martial arts world -- kali.
not good to piss them off -- so I say LET 'EM HAVE THE MIC!
This Blade will keeeeel
Le Templier Chevaliers i read that with Doug's voice 😆
Not on this dude lol
It truly will KEAL lol
Did they do this in Forge in Fire? Hehe.
@@Cholesterol725 Yes.
This is battle tested, this one + Kali, this is very efficient.
You got that right!
i have an old prado ginunting also, and some traditionally made ginuntings from iloilo. i will make a video about it soon on my channel.
Can't wait to see your video Sir
Funny thing, here in Visayas, "Ginunting" means "to cut" and "Gunting" means "Scissors, if you separate a scissor it looks like the Ginunting Bolo.
Thats the root word, gunting.
here in indonesia gunting means scissors also, wow.
That was the whole point of the weapon name.
I know, but not everyone has the knowledge about the origins of the name.
Thank you for your explanation. I am a blade fanatic, and love to learn the history and making of these beautiful items. 🙏😄
Two things I want for Christmas:
1. This thing
2. This thing
Deadly when handled by kali practitioner.
I know who is MSgt Prado he is talking about. we both know each other and he is still active in the service.
Where can we buy one sir? This is for blade enthusiast like me.
me too im a pkt student of msgt baltazar and msgt prado of force recon
Saan makabibili nyan sargeant at magkanu?
Sa divisoria andami..pero kung gusto nyo talaga ng quality at pasadya..pasyal kayo sa mga probinsya..hanapin nyo yong mga Panday..tawag samin sa bikol.
I BOUGHT TWO GINUNTING FROM LOCAL BLACKSMITH IN ILOILO CITY JUST 1000 PESOS EACH
WhitePigFuckAllah how's the quality and what is the exact address in Iloilo?
pantat mak ko bodoh
Nice I just bought a great bolo while visiting Phillipines
@@Ecommerce560 How's the quality and price of it?
Leaf Spring Blades/knife you mean a tactical blade? Bolo or machete is different from a tactical blade
The blades look fantastic. Do a video on traditional karambits.
..the "Ginunting" is the Filipino version of the Roman Gladius short sword.. very effective and deadly at close quarter combat.
The downward slope of the blade assures it to cut deeper with every strike
This is a blade with life..their is a secret in that blade that few people know about it.. the art of craftmanship..you did'nt paid for the blade but to paid the skills talent and the protection in your self and in your family..this is the finest blade they call it Sayyap meaning Blade..Kali blade the Godfather blade its Holy..its Life in it behind the sword..btw if you want to know the secret that reveal already stay tune to Kali show combat.
Isn't it the kampilan? ginunting just looks so small to match Roman gladius sword.
no the closest Looking Filipino sword to Gladius is the Inalag. It is the blade that the Cagayan warriors use
Hey, Red Baron! Greetings from the Philippines! Actually, there's more than 1 type of Bolo & the Ginunting is just one of them! The Ginunting in particular is specialized as a man-killer, sort of like the Japanese Katana. Just for your information. By the way, you wouldn't happen to be a Sabaton fan, would you? If so, let me guess your favorite Sabaton song: It's "The Red Baron", right? Well, it's the same as mine, along with "The Last Stand"! If so, Greetings, Brother!
@@pushupman6479 Gladius were really damn short too. (They were designed for use in a densely packed shield wall after all.)
I love listening to comfy jazz while ogling some of the fiercest blades on the planet.
The Only Armies I know around the world that carries bladed weapons which are not a standard Army (Knife/bayonet) are the Gorka's with their (KUKRI) and the PH Force Recon Marines's (Ginunting)
I'm sure there are more. These are very handy for CQC.
This is a beautiful art
Philippines ancient weapon is a fine work of arts and also deadly. This blade looks is deceiving.
The ginunting, like the kris, and kampilan (a long sword) are Filipino blades that are purpose-built weapons. Other long blades, such as the bolo, are primarily agricultural implements. Of all Filipino blades, however, the ginunting has proven itself to this day as a purely functional weapon, leading it to be adopted as the blade of choice of the Philippine Force Recon Marines. They have combat training using the ginunting. That's a tough bunch of hard men, and giving their stamp of approval to this weapon validates its battle-worthy status. Now, never mess with a nation whose soldiers carry bladed weapons and actually train how to use them.
The music complements that beautiful blade....
i like the black tactical more than the plain finish for the guard.
That's a great choice!
love the piano background!
Thanks!! me too :)
Nice video and beautiful blades. I also enjoyed the music
my father once use this weapon on abusive soldier on shooting spree he aproach the guy and use to block his m-16 it was cut in half this blade is no joke
Beautiful blades
Love the music perfect soundtrack while you are in a restaurant haha
I've heard that a good class of Ginunting is made from a town in a province of Iloilo, Philippines called Bingawan, though I'm not very sure of that town's name.
Yeah it's called bingawan
almost all the philippine provinces are good in blade making😊
Where can I buy that kind of blade in the Philippines?
Pang koleksyon lang
www.traditionalfilipinoweapons.com/
100% Philippine Made.. Already Bought 5 types of KRIS and a KALASAG from them in the past 10yrs
Sa tingin ko boss sa iloilo
Sa mga probinsya..kahit sa bikol meron
The design reminds me of the Dacian Falx or Falcata I think... anyways the Dacian Falx became famous among the Romans for its notoriety. It is said that this weapon, due to its shape, can destroy shields and armor like a warhammer would. The Ginunting, shares this design and therefore, its famous cutting power. I WANT ONE FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
You have just said what i was going to write. The forward curve is amazingly effective
ginunting is weapon yes but it is also for filipino farm use here in cabatuan Iloilo Philippines
How much is this thing? Planning to buy.
would like to have one of the night black ones, thanks for video
Any Prado that is stock/not fancy, but still the balance and quality, but near the $3-400 mark, would be bought by me.
How much does it costs in Pesos. I am going to Manila next week and would like to get one if t is within my budget. Also where should I go to in Manila to purchase one?

We do not have a physical store. All swords and knives are made-to-order, forged by the blademaster himself! It takes time to finish all orders when placed. Also, this year we are taking in only limited orders.
Only 20 $ dollars.
Hi, Im a new subscriber. What is the difference between talibung and ginunting in terms of use?
There is a difference in the balance and way the blade maneuvers and manipulates.
Top Prado Blades ok. thanks
Talibung is longer..more slender and having a progressive taper going to the point of the blade.
There is a saying at Libacao,Aklan where the Talibung is made that the blade becomes sickly and feverish when deprived of blood from combat
Both are tested fighting swords, but the Ginunting designs has a better chopping capabilities in jungle survival tasks, such as chopping branches or woods for quick camouflage cover or shelter.
We have an almost similar blade at home but its older than the ginunting because it is passed from 2 generation of our family
How much is it boss? That looks really amazing
Very Nice
I was waiting for the blade to fly outta his hand and hit the guy playing the piano.
😂😂
Lol
😂😂 abrupt "booooong" of the keys followed by a metallic clanking on the floor.
Idol Sir Prado panu po bumili ng item nyo.
Salamat po
Damn those are some sexy blades!
Every bolosmithing have an a diffrent style depend on the people want to use for just like in the jungle the halft meter palm like large in the farm they choose panabas talunasan samurai like long handled bolo sampilok hook like blade the most rare bolo is the Qirubin wing style bolo knife
YOU KNOW WHY DESIGNED IT .... hmmm ...ginunting its forward pointed end portion has maximum penetration slice effect ... like Scissor... (Filipino word scissor means- Gunting) he he
I'd rather learn how to use this than do watch dumb tiktoks
Cool
they are functionally very similar to the kopis or falcata.
I like the music
I like this type of blade..prado also make good blades
Where to buy top prado blades.
She’s a fine blade.
Podo Wae mas nek besi wes tajem yo bahaya🤩👍
Bolo is a historical blade of the filipino people my father and my grandfather often have a bolo in his house according totheir belief aswang and many evil being is often afraid when they see bolo its a protection of every man of the house its also used as an multifunctiona all purpose knife for clearing shrubs small trees so everybody in the province must have this weapon its also used during yje revolution by andress bonifacio of katipunan who led his people for freedom against spain
The bolo is a very good knife! Evil beings would be wise to fear it.
Sa amin ang bolo pang damo lol
I hope this blade is featured in Gorge in Fire

Awesome 😎🔥💥🔥😎
Where can I buy this blade?
looks better than the katana
I agree! :)
Alvin Tilar hell yes dude this was used to defeat the Katana.
ho no, good thing Katana cultist doesn't found this yet after 1 year.
I'm leaving a comment so I know when they arrive.
I guess it's difficult to explain then, why the only Japanese who died to these knives were those who were caught in an ambush. You're daydreaming if you think this is better than a sword which is sharper, better made and has 3 times as much reach.
I wouldnt want to be the guy getting hacked by that blade..its like a kukri but with badass design..
Scary blade almost perfect. Even Japanese samurai will get scared.
Can you make a video ginunting vs
katana pls.
Kamagung is the iron wood good for combat
It will be perfect if the handle is curved as crocodile or snake...still have my ginunting traceback from spanish colonial era....been with my family for generations..
Try the blades of waray waray they call Zanzibar the favorite shord of samar and leyte
were we can order that kind of blade sir
Pwede ba paki gamit ito sa abu sayaf na pumugot sa 3 sundalo sa sulu please now na
What is the name of the song playing in the beginning of the video? Thanks!

Darling in the franxx
Magkano po ba isa ? Saan po ba pwede makabili nitong ginunting ?
What is the background piano music for please? Its very off putting. It gets on my nerves. I have bad nerves.
If I want to buy this one how much it cost?
Battle tested in mindanao in early 70s all around utility tool and more agile than kris .
Mahirap lng d2 international market ang target yung mga lical walang access sa produkto nila kaya naghanap nanlng ako ng alternative marami din gumagawa ng ginunting na local
San kaa pwede bumili ng master prado na itak..
Where to buy?
Hw much & wer to buy?
Sir Prado, paano po makakabili ng ginunting? Many thanks!
is the top edge of that blade sharpened??
Yes it is. ;)
Looks reversed
how to order po sir ng ganyang itak po
Can you guys do a giveaway or something like that . I would love to own one but I just can't afford one
I feel you man... *HUGS MANLY*
are they still used in combat or just in ceremony wear I have heard of the Philippine special forces being some of the top fighters in close combat but when you have Glock handguns and some of the top of the line subguns I would think something like that might be more cermonyle
Jonathan Henson they actualy use it in combat
Jonathan Henson m.ua-cam.com/video/UNjahjv34Ng/v-deo.html you can see it @ 0:22 and 0:50
A couple of years ago the philippine marines took over a terrorist camp without a single shot, crawled through the camp with ginunting on hand
Top fighters in close combat ha ha ha ha. Have you never heard of the Ghurkas?
Shoe guy Learn to read properly. He said one of the top fighters.
How Sarj??
We need Lynn C. Thompson to design one , then we will have a real weapon of masterful design, but those are pretty nice for what they are worth.
Its hard to imagine any experienced soldier carrying this in the filed , its wood that can rot,the wood will make sounds if it hits a rock or hard object steal can rust , shines and will give away your location , its expensive and unique so it can give away you identity
Well, Philippine Force Recon Marines do carry this blade in the field. Its even standard issue in some cases. So much so that kali is taught to all branches of the service. The wood is kamagong, called iron wood, its not really a wood that would easily deteriorate and rot, even with intense humidity and monsoon rains. As for the shine, that is why it has the black tactical finish. It is expensive though; however MSgt Prado is still in service, and had been known to provide and even give away some blades to his fellow servicemen.
Sir magkano po ba yung ginunting blade
the tausug sword men from Philippines 🤗
Overproud kunu kaw yam
Priced me out. Won't buy a knife without knowing the steel its made out of. Good steel and consistent heat treatment is the key to a good blade. I can build one in my forge out of premium steel and controlled heat and cryo for about a third of the price, and will know what I've got.
Okay...
A good blade comes from the process of making the blade or how it is really build not just from any type of steel. A good blacksmith knows how to build a terrible type of steel to a good blade.
Check out Skallagrim's demonstration.
How to buy po
Now you had it , its time for some combat Kali, . . .
Legends story on campfires, . . . That ,that sword when ever it is used to cut a mans flesh they dont clean it, the owner just refrigerate it to preserve the bloodstains and let it be there and used for another warfare, . . .
Awesome blades. So, these are combat quality i guess.
Mute the music
PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!!!!!
My ginunting is pointed for stabbing from bohol........
Origenal kampilan mindanao pilipines.. Marawi made and pilipino muslim. Maranao.. The origenal kampilan is solid..
That is not a Kampilan. That is a Ginunting. That is also not a Kiris.
Traditional filipino weapons make blades, but these blades look more serious.
Yes, Top Prado Blades are forged by MSGT Prado, Philippine Force Recon Marine Class 001. Our blades are forged for the battlefield.
i kinda refused it. im a seasoned knife fighter. and i use an icepick
That makes you a Pick fighter then, not a Knife fighter. 😁
@@johnlloyddy7016 makes you a keyboard warrior
Not really. I'm using a touch screen, not a keyboard, so that makes me touch screen warrior, not a keyboard warrior.
GINUNTING IS AN ILONGGO WORD IT ORIGINATES FROM ILOILO...MOST FAMOUS IN PANIT-AN CAPIZ
Ginunting vs barong
And a fun fact with all Bolos in the Philippines , . . . There is no actual blacksmith 😂 a bolo is pass down to generations, it means all bolo's were so old and legitly used on farms, . . .
I guess the low tech weapons are still relevant in todays modern combat...
Kevin DeLuna the bolos are more of a tool for survival more than a weapon for fighting.. sure it can be used just in case.
International Rambo knife. Useless in real life if you have to lug that beast around.
DIDNT THAT female elf in the LOTR MOVIE USE THAT SWORD!!!
THE ORIGIN OF THE GINUNTING IS FROM ILOILO =GINUNTING IS AN ILONGGO WORD
junel totong
Ginunting is everywhere,,, in bisaya even bikol, speak with same meaning of scissors.
Even in old malay in indonesia and malaysia gunting means scissor even in tagalog ginunting same
