      Cindy Moyer I was thinking about trying it with crochet thread. I taught myself to crochet & am still a beginner but I taught myself using crochet thread because it was all I had at the time. I was wondering how it would be if I used floss or thread. May I ask what size crochet hook did you use?

    • @lunacyn
      @lunacyn 7 років тому +1

      hi! I not a great crochet-er by any means......the videos help me so much..... I used a B? hook 2.2 mm. the owl ended up being as long as my thumb. I have also used the string that is used for friendship bracelets. it doesn't split like floss. 👍

    I'm finding myself wondering if this pattern can be extended to make a couch pillow owl. the other owls I have found on the internet are not nearly as cute as this owl is. the keychain pattern is adorable, LOVE the video. Could you possibly extend this to make a little pillow?

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  9 років тому +1

      I think if you used a super bulky yarn and a huge hook it would be a really great pillow. I almost think the cotton t-shirt yarn would be fun...... With a Q or S hook maybe?
      If I didn't have ten projects going if almost try tonight! Lol. But it's going on my list:)

      +yduj zerimar I always leave an opening in the bottom part. And then sew it closed, but there are so many great ways to stuff it!

    Ok being colour blind, this was very difficult for me to follow with the 3.5mm hook. It was almost impossible for me to see round one with my tinted glasses and completely impossible without. The owls look cute though so I'm going to keep trying, maybe try a 5mm hook with darker yarn see how it works out... my crafting table is glass too which helps me to tell some of the brighter colours apart.

      Okay....started with pink, easy. Black? No problem. Sparkly white? Easy enough but slower. Rounds 1 through 3 easy enough but afters? I lost it. Sorry to say but for me this is very difficult to crochet . Shame too, little guy is cute :-( I get some funky looking medallions after about 30 minutes so thanks for them x

    What did you stuff the owl with.

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  Рік тому +1

      Just regular stuffing. Fiber fill. You can also use wool.
