I'm from Brazil and I tell you, this is not a song, it's an anthem! angelic voices coming together and making this great melody. This is wonderful! 😍 A hug from Brazil, may God bless each one's life! Like this comment so I can come back and enjoy this beautiful song again. 🇧🇷
I'm seeing other comments much like the one I am about to make. I've been searching for at least a decent rendition of this gorgeous carol, and had been coming up short. I just watched The Mormon Tabernacle Choir expecting greatness, but it was simply TOO FAST. This is perfect. Bravo to everyone involved.
I was in Chorus all four years of high school -- I begged the choir director every year to let us sing this song, and he'd say, "But we sang it last year!" I said, "But people love it!" He gave in. We brought down the house each time.
Soprano's need to round out their vowels Edit: Wow… 2 years later I come back to this and EVERYONE needs to round their vowels. There’s a tenor absolutely blasting the section hell and back. NOBODY is listening to each other and they focused way too hard on dynamics which are too sudden and lack growth 😰
Same! So many others are just way overproduced and they try to hard, but my favorites are versions like this where it's all about the voices and the harmony. Beauty in simplicity
Listened to many versions out there on youtube - and without a doubt as a musician I can honestly say, it is the best interpretation of this piece I have heard. Often, a fine performance is overshadowed by a poor recording. This has a fine recording and top notch musicianship.
Everyone can relate to this version... memories of high school holiday concerts in our hearts again. Professional choirs sometimes are over-produced for Christmas music but this hits that sweet spot of nostalgia and feeling.
When I first saw this in my reccomended I thought “hmm this high school must be really good to upload this” and after watching the video I see I was wrong, the high school is not good, but rather excellent. Well done
It is very pleasant to hear how the Ukrainian song “Shchedryk” by composer Nikolai Leontovich is being sung in America, and it is even more pleasant to realize that it has become so dear to Americans as to us, Ukrainians. It was nice to listen, thanks.
Best Carol of The Bells that I’ve ever heard was in its original version and tongue which was - Ukrainian and it is called “Shchedryk”. Really recommend to everyone to listen to it
Very nice guys... just remember to hear & feel your lyrics, it makes for perfect diction. This brings back my HS Chorus Memories which inspired my life's career! Thank you for this! 🎄🎅

I learned this song back in the late 60's at my elementary school and have only heard 1 vocal version since that sounded like the way I remembered it. Until this one. Perfection! thank you thank you!!! btw...as much as i enjoy the great instrumental versions that are out, rarely do i hear a vocal version on the radio. Shame!
WOW! these kids are just as good as the choir in the "Santa Clause" movie with TIm Allen and those are professionals. So, that means these kids are professionals as well!

That's a difficult arrangement and you did it well. A couple of things could be tweeked, be careful of your diction and be sure to cresendo and decresendo adequately, as that is what brings the audience to the height of the piece. A properly song piece will bring the audience on a journey with you. Bravo and brava!

Choir student here, to me their sound is very “smiley”. It could be me, but I think they would sound much more powerful and mature if they opened their soft palates.
You're very good and this song is just wonderful. My choir sang it using a new arrangement and a spectacular video. Write this in the search: you will surely like it. Corale Novarmonia - Carol of the bells (M. Leontovich)
I'm from Brazil and I tell you, this is not a song, it's an anthem! angelic voices coming together and making this great melody. This is wonderful! 😍

lol me too, just came from that video, I like this more
This is exactly what we used in our choir
Yup, this was just what I was looking for.
there is also a version of the "Hamburg Girls Choir" that version is absolutely breathtaking. Can reccomend that one highly
Mormon Tabernacle was defnitely speed racing the song. WIsh there was a slightly longer version of song because this song is just too good.
I was in Chorus all four years of high school -- I begged the choir director every year to let us sing this song, and he'd say, "But we sang it last year!" I said, "But people love it!" He gave in. We brought down the house each time.
We have a tradition of singing this every year and candle light carol it’s great
*listens to the Tenor part* This sounds familiar...
**SSA FLASHBACKS**
I have to sing this song in choir this Thursday
Wassup, you don’t know me, I have to sing this in 2 DAYS!!!!!
Chanopale 23 every body in my choir are singing this together on my Christmas concert
Haha me on friday
Chanopale 23 I have to sing this ON WEDNESDAY ITS MONDAY
I have to sing this tomorrow
By far best version on UA-cam - crisp and not drowned out by instruments, great bass vocal presence, unlike most.
Jake Lane I agree very much
But Dynamics and Vowel Roundness of Sopranos lack.
Yeah except the choir aint very good
Bass sometimes ruins I tbh. Like in my concert it would if been better with just the Saprano and Atol
Sometimes, but in this choir the bass sounded pretty good
This is really good, I just wish there where stronger dynamics.
Rachel Martin I agree it just starts loud and stays that way
Freeeedddddiiiieee mmmmeeeerrrrrcccuuurrryyy
Same but I also wish u had better grammar
The sapranos suck
@@naomidunagan1342 i agree
I was born in a muslim family but christian choirs and gospels make me relaxed
this is the arrangement my choir’s doing, and it sounds lovely!
It is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I could hear your choir.
TisITheFrenchiestFry _ nice name and profile pic😂
@rosemari do you have a copy of the arrangement that you can email me?
This is the arrangement we did as well!
Soprano's need to round out their vowels

Wow… 2 years later I come back to this and EVERYONE needs to round their vowels. There’s a tenor absolutely blasting the section hell and back. NOBODY is listening to each other and they focused way too hard on dynamics which are too sudden and lack growth 😰
YES
PREACH
I thought the same exact thing as soon as it started playing
PERIOD
They lack of that and it's obvious
Singing this every day for middle school choir is the best part of my day
This my favorite song
Brings me back to when I was young and in choir. Delightful sound. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas! ❤
Thank you for posting this video. They did a beautiful job, and I like the arrangement very much.
I feel like the high school choir versions are the best
I AGREE
Same! So many others are just way overproduced and they try to hard, but my favorites are versions like this where it's all about the voices and the harmony. Beauty in simplicity
I’m literally about to sing it in choir for my winter concert!
@ShelbyLynn same girly 😂
Which arrangement is this? It's hard to find this speed-version!
Like if you're here because of Diabarha's Speedcore Remix of this song with it ❤
Yesss 👍
Listened to many versions out there on youtube - and without a doubt as a musician I can honestly say, it is the best interpretation of this piece I have heard. Often, a fine performance is overshadowed by a poor recording. This has a fine recording and top notch musicianship.
I literally can’t stop listening to this. Absolutely amazing!😍

Everyone can relate to this version... memories of high school holiday concerts in our hearts again. Professional choirs sometimes are over-produced for Christmas music but this hits that sweet spot of nostalgia and feeling.
Simply and beautifully and cleanly done …
I’m a firm believer in LESS IS MORE at times !🎄🎄🎄👍🎶🎶👏🏾👏🏾
This takes me back to my church choir time, so lovely ❤️
This is what our young people can do. Praise God.
When I first saw this in my reccomended I thought “hmm this high school must be really good to upload this” and after watching the video I see I was wrong, the high school is not good, but rather excellent. Well done

Eastern Europe has produced some of the most beautiful choir music
Amazing!!!! Out of all the crappy, garbage versions out here a high school choir does it the best. Excellent work.
Wow, this is phenomenal! It sounds exactly as I hear it in my mind. Beautiful job, bravo, standing ovation! 🤩🤩🤩
Fantastic job!
Great! Greetings from Greece
Best Carol of The Bells that I’ve ever heard was in its original version and tongue which was - Ukrainian and it is called “Shchedryk”. Really recommend to everyone to listen to it
Me and my choir were singing this it is one of my favorite song we have ever done
I keep playing this. ITS THAT AMAZING!
Same
This is the best version I have found on UA-cam. All the other versions have instruments in them, which is missing the point of this song.
Very nice guys... just remember to hear & feel your lyrics, it makes for perfect diction. This brings back my HS Chorus Memories which inspired my life's career! Thank you for this! 🎄🎅
Fantastic! Just as I remembered the song from my days in aa professional group. Thanks for this, kids and director!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. WONDERFUL. LOVE IT.

There’s parts overlaping so it will sound different to sing it like you wrote it out than to sing the actual voice parts

The sopranos are so bright tho. This song is supposed to have a darker sound.
Beautiful performance.
