I’m just about 16 weeks pregnant with di/di twins and my doc said I can deliver them vaginally as long as baby A is head down so I am sooooo hoping for this 🥹❤️
Hi doctors! Thank you for your interesting videos! Here is my question: What is the impact of video-chatting (with distant family members) on babies? Should we avoid exposure to screens or do the benefits of maintaining these relationships outweigh the risks, if any? Great if you can shed some light into this topic in a future Q&A
My di-di twins will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Baby B was breech, but A was head down. I wanted to try for a breech extraction, but both of my babies were consistently under 10th percentile with A under 3rd percentile. I ultimately decided the risk of head entrapment or combined delivery wasn't worth it, so I had a scheduled c section at 36w4d. It ended up being the best choice because B's cord ended up not being very robust and probably wouldn't have tolerated labor. Neither kiddo needed any interventions or NICU time, and they passed all the newborn screens. I won't lie though, I was terrified we were pulling them out too early. But everything was fine in the end.
Love all your videos and content (have been watching from the beginning ❤️) I’m currently 22 weeks with our first via IVF (a boy), and I’d love an update on y’all’s second pregnancy and any big differences you’re experiencing between the first and the second pregnancy. Keep up the good work, your combined knowledge and willingness to share is SO appreciated ❤️
We have been trying to put a “first trimester VLOG” together for some time, but by now could do a “first and second trimester” video 😂😂 We are hoping to get any update about pregnancy #2 out soon. Thank you so much for asking!
I’m only having a single and I’m fighting with my dr to have a 38.4 c section, have serious hg still loosing weight and feeling unwell /weak, (frankly the thought of waiting that long is horrible) lost at least 40 lb before taking baby in to account and he’s massive. Nice to know there isn’t much difference in 37-39
I am currently 30weeks pregnant with my Monochorionic Twins they have 1 placenta and 2 amniotic fluids, now they are both in vertex position and they growing so healthy and for me I'm fine I have GDM that can be control through healthy diet. The doctor is considering vaginal delivery but the only problem is my marginal placenta. Anyway they scheduled me for delivery on my 38weeks and 2 days.
My coworker delivered her first twin vaginally and then needed a c-section for twin B. Poor thing had a heckuva recovery and is still dealing with diastasis recti issues over a year later.
I am twin A in a fraternal twin set. I was delivered first, and then my breech sister was turned by the OB and was delivered vaginally 37 minutes later.
Do you know why some babies teeth alot of teeths at the same time and others 1 tooth at a time...my baby is 16 months and she was teething 6 molers at the same time and 1 week after she's teething 2 teeth
Adding to this! I was diagnosed at 38 weeks and induced. Ended up having an emergency c section. Would love more info on it and if most end in c section? From what was explained to me having all the extra fluid meant the contractions weren’t moving baby into position/progressing labor but yet I still labored for 4 days…
I was diagnosed with an irritable uterus after I spent 36 hours in the hospital at 32 weeks for monitoring after briefly going into preterm labor. I dilated from 0cm to 2 cm and lost part of my mucus plug while in triage, but we managed to calm things down and now I'm back at home and feeling great. Have any ideas for staving off an early delivery after a preterm labor episode?
Can you talk about bladder retention postpartum? 2 weeks postpartum and have been struggling since right after my delivery. I never heard of this before and it’s made things very stressful on top of newborn life. Am I alone in this or is it common? 😭
It really depends on what you’re using. The challenge is that none of these substances are regulated and there can be a WIDE range of quality/safety. In general, the safest thing to recommend are safe chewing toys (or even large firm vegetables like cool celery) and Tylenol/Ibuprofen if needed. If your baby likes a pacifier you can try putting them in the freezer, and some even let you fill the nipple with water first to make it like a little popsicle.
Hello! I did ivf at the end of 2021 delivered at 39 +1. We chose ivf bc I have poly cystic kidney disease and didn’t want to pass it along, what is the percentage of second time ivf success? We have one embryo left
I need a breastfeeding advice. My daughters pediatrician since she turn 9 months he wanted me to wean her off breastmilk..at her 1 year appointment he reminded me again and told me that basically my milk right now for her was like water. Not enough fat or calories...this is the first time I hear this from a pediatrician.. my goal is to continue till she turns 2..
The American Academy of Pediatrics actually recommends breastfeeding (with the addition of solid foods) until the age of 2 years, and so it sounds like you have a great plan. By the time a child is 12 months of age or so, their diet shouldn’t have much more than about 16oz (500ml) of milk a day though (breast or cows milk) to make sure that they are getting the necessary nutrients from other solid-food sources. There are times when a child is having difficulty gaining weight appropriately where other things may need to be considered, but hopefully this helps you!
@@annechapel7538 yes I think I need to look around.. his been a good doctor and always takes his time with his patients. It's just the breastfeeding part that he sounds his against it. I don't know why
I have a question about IUGR. My son was diagnosed at birth and I just got a lab report regarding the placenta. Do you know what acute subchorionitis on membrane or chronic deciduitis on decidula is? What is the liklihood of IUGR showing up in future pregnancies? I had zero of the risk factors so I was shocked. We really want to try for another baby in the next year but I'm worried about the same thing happening again.
Conception advice please if you see this! I am obese, have PCOS and we are TTC - we are already with a fertility specialist, but I’m on a weightloss journey and losing weight - is it safe to continue to lose while pregnant? Is there a trimester I should stop?
