IMPRESIONANTE
I'm dying! I saw that concert on tv, I couldn't go to the stadium (I'm from Argentina) but I remeber so well that day when I experienced that Bowie trascended the screen, and I loved him even more. Adrian Belew is a genius, and this performance made me cry. Thank you so much for sharing this!
The Thin White Duke..!! who felt in planet earth to..
Thanks for loading this video great sound, the other day I saw the Prestige a video film with David Bowie excelent.....come again to River Plate David....
Hello mate, I saw Belew in 78 with Bowie and life was never the same. I've looked for his great Station To Station intros from 78 tour and 1990 and his solos on Stay from 1990 tour. The greatest Stay live I've found is Lisbon, Portugal 1990. Its an absolute killer. The intro is unbelievable and the piece he plays later has some brilliant feedback that seems to go through me like its marrow scraping my bones. I hope you haven't heard it cause you gonna get blown away!! I love to meet fellow fans of Adrian Belew. His intros on Station To Station from the 78 tour are the ones I love and there are some beauties like Adelaide, Aust and others. Seeing him do that song intro live in 78 was like witnessing the closest thing to Hendrix at Woodstock. There was no one else in the world who could make their guitar sound so animal-like and insane as Belew at that time. The Lisbon live Stay is superior as it flows perfectly like he was really on that night. Take care mate.
Space Oddity, Rebel Rebel, Ashes to Ashes, Changes, Life on Mars Fashion, Blue Jean, Stay, Let's Dance, Sound and Vision,China Girl, Ziggy Stardust, Pretty Pink Rose (de Belew), Station to Station, Young Americans, Suffragette City, Fame...cerró con Heroes y para los bises Panic in Detroit y final con Modern Love.
I saw Sound and Vision show in Lisbon and remember what a deception it was for everyone who saw it, with Belew all over the place, not serving the song, not serving David Bowie, just playing outrageouly over everyone
Adrian Belew loves his tremolo but he needs to lose the jacket! What a battle he wages from 5:25 on. What does Bowie mime throwing in return for the lingerie [3:44]? His heart, I think.
+TheSusieTom Do you know where they put this video? I think they deleted it here ; ( I wanna see it again - it's the best performance of Stay ever - but I don't know where I can find it...
That's the thing about the Sound and Vision tour, on the TV visually it is just bleak and baron, and it's like a couple of the musicians forgot to turn up for the gig.
Adrian Belew is best producer of "sounds" can an elephant, of course, a rhino can, a whale no problem, a dinosaur certainly. Along with Robert Fripp and Revees Gabrels and some other names, he is the best in the world. All these "best" guitarists and sound producers played with Bowie live or in the studio
Great clip but the prima donna guitarist ruins it for me, preening about like he owns the show, this song is the sum of its parts not a solo exercise, Earl Slick knows the score when he is playing the song helps create the bigger picture but this guy really needs to reign it in in my opinion.
Earl slick was the only one for me, Him and Bowie created some of Bowie’s best song’s and his live work with Bowie was always the best,,look at Bowie at the BBC year 2,000 it was just amazing to see so close and the band was just so good it was his best band lineup ever 😍😍
@@strangerstreet6061 In fairness by 2000 the players..or the arrangers...had had another 10 years of rehearsal after this performance! But seriously I think all stars reinterpret their own work to keep it fresh for themselves as much as their audience. I think this version is as good as the original and better than the 'Dinah shore' version which others refer to here possibly but then that's just a relatively old and likley technically limited sound recording of a tv show from the 70s when the song was new too
My favorite 💞 song ever!? I love and miss him to this very day!!! What a LEGEND!!!! R.I.P. Mr. Jones

Passion and intensity exploding so incredibly it must have been seen from space!

Even by Belew's insane standards he was yankin' out all the stops that night!
I think Adrian Belew's solo on this is better than that on either the Milton Keynes or Tokyo Dome shows.

Bowies music & Belew's guitar were just meant to go together. I've seen Bowie 4 times, but I'd trade the lot to see him with Belew.
+Philip H saw david bowie with adrian belew's band one night in montreal!

Wowwww
Adrian Learned A. Very Lot From Mr Jeff Beck..Nice Work
Stay - by Tony Belew
Adrian Belew loves his tremolo but he needs to lose the jacket! What a battle he wages from 5:25 on. What does Bowie mime throwing in return for the lingerie [3:44]? His heart, I think.
adrian the best side man
Bowie's best tune that never got the airplay it truly deserved/ I didn't say "underrated" !!!###
David's doing the 1975 dance he did on the dinah show! So funny when he missed that object! Throw in a bit of miming, why not
+TheSusieTom Do you know where they put this video? I think they deleted it here ; ( I wanna see it again - it's the best performance of Stay ever - but I don't know where I can find it...
José Victor Ferro Hi, you mean the Dinah show Stay?
+TheSusieTom Infortunately, Yes :/ I cant find it on UA-cam anymore
+José Victor “JV” Ferro yes it's there I found it eventually, search David Bowie_STAY. I'll try and upload link later
Omg yum 😭
Miss you David

como se lo extraña al Duque...
No recuerdo ,Lets Dance, Pretty pink rose ,China Girl y no recuerdo mas
Getting Robot Chicken vibes. 👀
is this Carlos Alomar on guitar?
Fuck.. Adrian totally hogs 1/2 of this clip.
Getting Robot chicken vibes. His teeth are so white. 👀
Great clip but the prima donna guitarist ruins it for me, preening about like he owns the show, this song is the sum of its parts not a solo exercise, Earl Slick knows the score when he is playing the song helps create the bigger picture but this guy really needs to reign it in in my opinion.

strat abuse!!!!
secondo me il sound and vision tour e' stato rovinato dalla chitarra di adrian belew...i don't like it!!!!
