- This is my installation of Musicar Northwest's tweeter upgrade for the Porsche 991. While primarily an upgrade or base model stereos I wanted to see if the Dynaudio Esotec MD102 tweeters would be better than the Burmester ribbon tweeters included with my car. I wasn't disappointed.

Great engineering.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the video.
this video is amazing thank u !
thanks for sharing, how much was the whole sound package, speakers and DSP?
🤩👍❗
Time and time again. New Tweeters come out. The Dynaudio stuff always holds it value and sound quality. Its sounds expensive until you realize just how good they are. Sure. You can get other drivers. But you can buy a cheap Hondo electric guitar or get a real Gibson.
Wait, is it “dyna audio” or how you said it? If so I’ve been saying it wrong for 20 years lol.
Anyways thanks for the video, cool stuff!
Actually I don't think it's either!
I had called it "din-audio." I think it's actually pronounced "dine-audio"
eh. I duno. i was hooked plus they are lighter which is lovely. then you said the Burmester was not then balanced properly and you had to put a rag to squish the sound of the center channel. I guess this is why it is a bad idea to futz. I think the DAC and auto-balancing of a system is very key to a noisy car environment. I will be using my Burmester in a Boxster T. I do not doubt these sound better, but did you ever get the center channel balanced with the new setup?
Eventually I got around to disconnecting the center channel altogether. Sounds good!
@@TheStockpile oh. I like that idea. I always felt center channels are lame in cars
really?? you think this is better than burmester?
TBH I can't remember at this point (the car has been out of action for about a year right now). From what I recall the Esotec's have a much cleaner / fuller sound but they have a piercing quality I don't love. Overall, I recall them being better.
fact, high freq's are super directional, firing them into a windshield is complete nonsense and will never sound great
Yeah, and just like hitting the glass with a tennis ball it bounces off the hard surface.
@@auctionrider67 yeah, and then arrives at your ear milliseconds later than the direct signals causing comb filtering and phase anomalies
