It's good that their marriage survived. But couples don't have clarity while choosing partners. He wanted to have someone who cooks and manages home like his mother and ended up marrying a working woman, and that girl also over commited before marriage. The working woman is already occupied by professional duties, expecting such home maker responsibilities from her is injustice to her. Glad that he realized it later. High time to realize that working woman is not a super woman. She also needs support. Either go for a working woman or a homemaker.
