Excellent video, " thank you" ~ Another seal to consider would have to be the Heirloom Seal of the Realm also known in English as the Imperial Seal of China, lost between the 10th through the 14th century CE. Today's value if found ...at auction on a bad day it would be considered... "Priceless"
That seal is nothing compared with the first emperor’s imperial seal of the realm. 传国玉玺 is the embodiment of the Mandate of Heaven, no seal matters that much to our Chinese.
Yeah the heirloom seal of the realm if found is said to be worth over one TRILLION due to the implications for owning it as well as the value of the material as it is carved from thelargest jade in history.
Anyway, that is not the "soul" of the greatest masterworks, that is only a kind of symbol of stupid power which ruin the greatest masterworks, but that one still is a great witness of China history, or art history.
The comment is wrong, because that seal was made by seal master ( Chen Ju Lai 陈巨来) . Therefore, those "great masterpieces" are faked masterpieces. 评论是错误的,因为那个印章是印章大师(陈巨来)制作的。 因此,那些“伟大的杰作”是伪造的杰作。
Noticed that he said "soapstone", this is not a "jade" piece.... Or maybe that the stamp piece is made from soapstone, and the entire stone of something else. And he referred to Qian long... Reading the wiki on this Qing prince. He's done his ancestors' proud by killing off their enemies.. or those who formed "family clans" on their watch basically. So I presume that this seal, is to stamp on those things that he approved of, and not of anything else. i.e. To bring those items back... and didn't those items were then legitimately stored in the "Forbidden palace" out of view, so that nobody else could get confused and be confused over their legitimacy to rule the land ? Bearing in mind that, Mr Chow here... seems to have a very old family surname, and is in control of this process. Nothing is an accident, is what I think.
For those who may be wondering, the seal has the following words carved into it:
乾隆御覽之寶
Which translates to Qianlong's Royal Treasure.
This was truly amazing and fascinating. I love Nicolas Chow. He draws me in every time. The craftsmanship is superb 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Great presentation.

“Resurfaced at a Sotheby’s auction” what a polite way to describe Sotheby’s trafficking of stolen artifacts

Well it has been lost for centuries so these are some of the best ones that still exist.

金钱无法衡量这枚玉玺对我们的意义,即使发动战争抢回来也是值得的@@wassupbros4629
you are absolutely right, 清 is not chinese proper ethic group. We only recognize 秦 as the first real dynasty.
@@CerroZimm There was Zhou before Qin

This guy is like a crimminal in a suit
who fence stolen goods. 😂
That seal was made for a barbarian. Why would Chinese prize the seal that was formerly owned by a barbarian. Laughable and mentally twisted.
Is your tongue short
Terrible music, crazy...
