I played this for my degree recital and I have to say that this was one of my most favorite pieces to perform! For those who are wondering and have not purchased the music yet, the highest note is technically the second C above the staff, however there is an ossia (written as "play if able!" lol) which goes to the second D above the staff, which is how it is performed in this recording. It is very possible! Do not let the music intimidate you. With some practice, the runs (even the ones in the ossia, 21 in a beat!) will come as second nature. Enjoy playing!

I got the sheet music towards the end of 11th grade, and I'm performing it for my 12th grade recital. I'm very fond of this piece too, and I really enjoy the technical challenges as well. I will nail that 21-note beat eventually and all the other ossias eventually!

+Lucy Trendell-Carr if you have an open holed flute you slide your finger off the hole while still holding they key down.

I've had a go, it's possible, except you have to take stuff down the octave at times... I'll record a video perhaps!

Make sure to breathe!!! Put your heart and soul into it and it'll be an amazing performance! Did it for my grade 8 and I got a distinction because I chose the harder parts! Good luck in your exam!!
