I’m still awed at how you had time to prepare two solos at this competition. What did your time management look like when practicing both? Did you practice one for half your practice time and then the other for half? Did you master one solo and then learn the next solo while still practicing the solo you mastered but not as much since you need to still master the other one? Please let me know, thanks!
Hi Isaiah and thanks for watching! I'd say it depends on the situation, but in this case I was preparing them under a pretty short time frame so I practiced them together. But that's not the only or best way to do it - in fact it might even be better to prepare over a longer period of time so you can afford to take breaks from the music and then look at it again with fresh eyes and ears. Hope this helps!
