I was just offered a Senior Financial Analyst position with a Top Healthcare Institute in the country. Your videos really added pointers and guidance. Thank you so much!
I am from Bangladesh. I do spend 1 hour everyday in order to learn from your videos and found them very helpful. Will be with u for gaining knowledge for sure.
You are a good professional to support both job seekers and hiring managers to professionally assess the behavioral and competency of prospective candidates for the accounting and financial roles. Good job sir!
I’m learning about business assessment and finance because I’ve recently started to invest. This video and the previous one on 5 Analyst Questions go well beyond the analyst profession. You very thoroughly present key characteristics needed in virtually any and every profession where teamwork is critical. Your straightforward approach is not only refreshing but impressive. Thank you.
Last one was 90 minutes long with a senior finance manager for a large bank. He was tough but fair, we went through in detail my whole resume and he made finance and accounting questions in between to see how i managed. He didn't know me, but he knew my job, so he went to ask me in depth questions about it. Overall, my answers were good, not perfect, but good enough he knew my resume wasn't BS. If you really want the job, you better PREPARE it, you need to differentiate yourself from others candidates (and competition is very tough).
These questions also show that being a financial analyst is more suited to extroverts like you said in another video. As an introvert, I can tell this just by looking at these questions, as they are no easy scenarios, when you tend to avoid conflicts and can't work well in high-stress situations. The real challenge is finding opportunities that are ideal for introverts and they are limited.
How do these questions show that extroverts are better suited? To me it’s mostly about self-confidence and growth nothing about extroversion vs introversion is on display here.
Thanks Bill, I forwarded your videos to my friend and he cracked the interview and got the job.. Happy for your detail information and I am still looking for the job as I haven't got any interview call yet.
This very good. Thank you and yes it’s true these questions generally always come up. Thinking in advance and planning ahead means I will have answers ready instead of last minute made or unpleasant answers. Thank you
@@bhudzieeeee I got the Job. I am sure you want to know the interview questions, lol. I can't remember all of them but it was 3 total interview - hr, finance director, then CFO and executives. Most questions were about experience and problem solving, nothing too technical. Just be confidence, everything else you will learn at the job.
I should have look in YT and listen to this before I had my interview last month...these question were asked of me. Unfortunately, I did not get the job.
10 years have passed since graduating with a focus in finance without going into the industry. Any advice on the first steps to get into the financial analyst space?
Would you say there is a good work-life balance as a financial analyst? I'm a qualified accountant (ACA), though I was out of the market for a number of years to work as a broker, since then, I've come back to a management accountant role and actually find handling and analyzing data and learning how the business works the most enjoyable parts of my role so I applied for financial analyst roles.
Hi, Am Nisham from India. Am working as an Accountant in Dubai. Could you please help me how to answer below question in Job interview. “How you will establish a finance system for a company from the scratch?” Or “ tell me what you will do to build an accounting system for a start up company from beginning?” I have face similar questions in more than 5 interviews and I could not answer from technical prospective side of this question. Could you please do a detail video how to answer like these questions. Thank you

@@TheFinancialController : Thank you for quick response. I have been out of accounting roles since 2003, went into education as asst teacher , then currently as admin. asst., so coming interview as financial specialist is very important to me but I’m nervous, what do think can help pass and get the job please? Thank you

Exactly my question. I think analyst is an ambivert role even extroverts can thrive and introverts also depending on u company working style

The fact that interviewers actually think like this is insane. But it’s easier to work in an office than in a field so I guess this would be expected

3 & 4 are practically the same question no?

good stuff
In my opinion question number one is irrelevant. In an interview setting I think it's being asked by the interviewer to gaslight the interviewee.
great
Isn’t question 3 & 4 the same… working under pressure and tight deadline?
Enron?
Can you please give an example of working as a team as a team member but not a team leader in financial/accounting industry?
