    Manny great video!! I like your reviews because you review air rifles most people can afford. It's great you use so many different pellets in your testing!! General it is the weight of the pellet more than the shape that will determine the FPS of each pellet. Gamo Country Magnum weigh 15.43gr. Ruger Superpoint weigh in at 17gr

    I just weighed the Ruger pellets on two of my reloading scales. On the digital scale a 15 pellet sample came in at 17.2 grains. On my manual scale a 5 pellet sample was 17.5 grains. I didn't expect them to be that heavy.

    Thank you for your review. Especially the chrony results for the various inexpensive pellets. Did the Chrony numbers improve after shooting 400 rounds through the gun or stay the same as the first few dozen? I'm curious if you cleaned the bore at any time before you did your accuracy testing. I read that every airgun needs to be broken in with a few hundred pellets before you can count on accuracy results which you clearly did, but i'm curious if you did anything else on the gun like oil the spring piston gasket or clean the bore a with a boresnake a number of times. Have you tried testing accuracy at 10 yards using a bench or rest to see if you get the expected better results?
    Which pellet fits better in the breech when seating the pellet? The Crosman/Benjamin Destroyer or the Crosman Premier Hollow Point?

    • @AffordableAirguns
      @AffordableAirguns  4 роки тому +1

      EuropaWill after 400 pellets everything still same, I did clean the bore like 10 times..that’s the first thing always,, I haven’t tested on 10 yards.. the pellet who fits and seat great on it is the crosman destroyers or Benjamin pointed expanded.

      @@AffordableAirguns Have you shimmed the breech seal on this Beeman or any of your other pellet rifles to see if it makes any improvement in your Chrony results? I'm reading that some people increase their FPS by shimming the breach seal so more of the seal is protruding from the barrel side and creates a better seal around the breech when closed. Better seal means less air is lost and more air to push on the pellet and higher efficiency. Some people are seeing 50-100 fps improvements over stock. On your recommendation i'll be trying the Benjamin pointed expanded.

    • @AffordableAirguns
      @AffordableAirguns  4 роки тому

      EuropaWill well I heard that before to shimme the breech seal and that work. But I do like to keep all the internals has it cause I will keep working on this rifle and making more videos and then is not gonna be kind a fair for others cause I wanna work with a rifle the everybody has and got very similar results like everybody else... if I found another of this rifles I will do that like a experiment rifle

    hey, buying my son an air rifle. .22 break barrel need to know the best rifle i can get for my buck. i was looking at a GAMO whisper magnum. with a UTG 3-9x40 until i saw your review. let me know your thoughts brother.

    • @AffordableAirguns
      @AffordableAirguns  4 роки тому +1

      Laurie Crews I think my review was on the whisper fusion Mach 1. But let me tell you something very important!! All of those magnum rifles for example the gamo whisper magnum, they are great on FPS but low on accuracy! Cause by a lot of recoil on the rifle.Is very hard to zero your scope. Plus you need the work so much with the altillery hold...most important! Check all the law on your town cuz most rifles over 900 FPS enter on category of a fire arm for example in IL..If some one see your son playing with the pellet gun, they probably call the police and you will get in trouble.. I do recommend something around 830fps..
      Talking about the rifle!
      This gamo whisper fusion Mach 1. Is good but not very impressive for the money.. does have some recoil and is very pickie on pellets. You will need jsb pellets or barracudas. Wish they cost more then any other the you can find almost anywhere..
      I do recommend this beeman for the price and hunting rabbits,doves,squirrels and starling,but is not a target shooter.
      I recommend the GAMO whisper fusion elite.22 that rifle is a monster.. his favorite pellet is the Ruger súper point and you can find those in Walmart for $5 and love to the gamo redflight and gamo red fire.. this rifle is heavy, but the weight help to hold a little the recoil.is the best inversion the I ever did on a break barrel rifle.. I have it for almost 4 years and now my dads owned.. is down in Puerto Rico and he used almost every day to hunt iguanas and still working great..

    You kept saying defending the accuracy that it is not a target gun it is meant for hunting. Well, I am sorry if the gun can't hold groups at a mere 15 yards then it sucks as a hunting rifle as well! You would think that at least one of the pellets tried would have grouped somewhat. The Destroyers shoot pretty well out of most guns. If I can give you some advice, keep the Crosman line and toss that Gamo crap! Get yourself at least 1 tin of JSB Exact, 1 tin of H&N FTT, 1 tin of RWS Hobbies and Superdomes and see how your results turn out.

    • @AffordableAirguns
      @AffordableAirguns  4 роки тому

      northlander30 first of all. I’m not defending the accuracy of the rifle, this rifle works pretty well hunting, my longest shot is on 60 yard on a pingeon, drops death,, is not a target shooting! What I means is not for competition shooting!!! Is that clear??? I do have the jsb test tint,,, in my channel I use the most affordable and common pellet(those you can find anywhere) if you can’t get a group at 15m something must be wrong, your altillery hold or your barrel must be dirty or damage.
