Fantastic shopping! I am actually surprised you didn’t get a tattoo! Totally expected it! Waiting now for a video of you strolling through the streets of Krakow with your cart and briefcase😃
I can’t stop laughing when I see you in that pajama. “Ohhh kochanie on your underwear means Oh darling. Jubilat was one of two department store in Krakow in 60 & 70. I use to live across the Wisla river & shop there very often. If you like Krakow now wait for spring & summer when all coffee shops & restaurants in Rynek Glowny are opened. U are going to love it. I am enjoying your vlog.
@@planetkrakow Yes they will probably suit Nina much better 😂. Shame about the tank though 😭 I hope you both have a great start to the new week and I look forward to future videos.
Crocow's Jubilat (est. 1908) is a co-op (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooperative). There are many co-ops in Poland, so you can enjoy this vintage style of shopping almost everywhere here :) They don't have to run after money as they are 100% owned by employees. Every employee owns one share. Usually co-ops owns the buildings they work in, so their costs are very low as they don't need to pay any rent. The whole profit margin is shared among employees.
Yes you can see that modern day merchandising techniques are not always employed, but I liked that - was a refreshing change from the malls and online shopping
I've been coming to Krakow for over 12 years. It's where I proposed to my wife on a warm dark evening next to the Wisla/Vistula with the golden glow of Jubilat's lights reflected on the water. That's what I think of when I see Jubilat although I've never been inside it - next visit I will! p.s we love your views on Krakow life. p.p.s will the new residency rules after Brexit cut short your time in Krakow? - hopefully not!
I've heard the restaurant above Jubilat (not operated by them) is very cool too, we plan to visit there too. It's a cool store, pricey in some respects, but I've been happy with what I've bought there! Glad you're enjoying the content, Im amazed at the response we've had to basically us hanging around town ❤️ I arrived in Krakow at a perfect time, just before 31 Dec, so essentially I beat Brexit and retained my EU rights to work in the EU
@@planetkrakow Happy you made the deadline :-) We only found you on UA-cam last night and watched several episodes - love your insights, your images and your ability to capture the real feeling of this wonderful city in a natural way - your young lady makes a perfect accomplice to your adventures! Best wishes to you both :-)
@@planetkrakow me too😄so it seems that when visiting the Jubilat you can travel back in time not only to the communist period in Poland but also to the 18th century😄
Myślę że powinieneś wyjść na miasto w piżamie (oczywiście szlafmyca jest niezbędna) i z teczką na akta, na pewno będzie to sukces towarzyski. A filiżanki są OK. Mam taką samą filiżankę z klimtem.
My wife can spend a whole day in this type of shop. You’ll be surprised how much time a woman can spend in a shop with only China or a shop selling table tops and towels.
Just back from Krakow - had a wander around Jubilat, it really is like going shopping in the Warsaw Pact days.
Love the 'ooooh baby!' bokserki.
Hope you bought some pj's
@@planetkrakow Not this time, but I'll be back, as we have an office over there. I'll definitely buy some Ostie tat next time I'm over.

Who says I didn't get a tattoo?

Actually the sun and the Cracovians were out today and I walked around in the twighlight - it was utterly beautiful
I like the store! Some really nice stuff there. What a cute trolley, great shopping 👍Thanks for the video.
Fantastic shoping and sense of humour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I used to shop at the Jubilat when I used to spend a lot of time in Krakow in the 1980s and 1990s.
I don't imagine it has changed too much
The pyjamas night dress cracked me up haha. I so badly want a tank trolley though.
Nina was happy to take the pyjamas! And the tyres keep coming off the trolley - not much of a tank!
@@planetkrakow Yes they will probably suit Nina much better 😂. Shame about the tank though 😭

świetne zakupy, a szczególnie piżama - brawo dla Ciebie, jeżeli chciałbyś zobaczyć coś dziwnego - to polecam centrum Nowej Huty
I have been to Nova Huta and I liked it, especially the center. I have become pretty fond of Jubilat - they may deserve a better second video!
The robe looks quite posh. ☝️👍
This was a good buy!
If it wasn't for the prices..You might have been filming in the Boyes Shop in Chester-Le-Street, UK
Jubilat is a comparatively pricey shop here
The sign on the pants - ohh kochanie = oh darling
