So, Ron, who is biologically Simone’s maternal grandfather, stepped in and adopted Simone and her little sister Adria. But this incident isn’t the only testament to their inspirational ideals. Though now retired, even Ron and Nellie’s jobs were in service of others. They met when Nellie was in college in San Antonio, and Ron was working for the Air Force. At the time, Ron was also raising his daughter Shannon as a single father. After graduating, Nellie became a nurse and co-owned a chain of Texas nursing homes. Shannon eventually moved to Cleveland to live with her mother. In other news, Simone Biles and others to sue FBI for $1bn over Larry Nassar investigation. Women who say they were sexually assaulted by a disgraced US national gymnastics team doctor plan to sue the FBI for $1bn (£800m). Claimants say the FBI mishandled credible complaints of sexual assaults by Larry Nassar. They include Olympic gymnastics gold medallists Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney. Nassar is serving up to 175 years in prison for molesting gymnasts. Some parents make mistakes and by the time their grand children arrive they are more mature and wiser…. Also they can see and experience their child’s true personality and long term life style choices…. Sometimes this can echo their own lives as a farther to some degree when they were young …..women generally do have more imprint and influence over their child’s character due to upbringing and wise or unwise disaplinary practices… women do spend more time with children generally even to the point that children can often take the mothers for granted…or mother often tend to do too much for the children …. Making them too dependant possibly….this is just a few reasons why grand parents have to step in a re raise their children and or grand children…. Many men do not always get a decent chance to be a proper farther as some women deny them of this ,abusing their power influencing their children and lying about their farther sometimes…. So it is nice when farthers get a second chance to be a good parent to their children or grand children….. I think in many or some cases if a parent cannot look after their own children and in sever cases like this were the child has no mother or farther to raise them something had gone wrong in the family upbringing…. Simone and her sibling were very fortunate otherwise they may have become another statistic in the institutional system
