I'd love to see you do a video summarizing all of the chant tones you use for Sing the Hours, which I think are primarily Gregorian. I saw an interview you did where you mentioned I think 9 specific chants that are numbered. It'd be helpful to learn the chants by number and recognize them by number too.

You should upload Chants and Rants podcasts to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc… would love a more convenient way to just listen to the conversations without having the video up.
Either way I’m gonna tune in because the content is everything I want! I love it when Paul goes full rant, even if he doesn’t stay on topic!

I've am a Catholic my whole life (now I'm 36), and I only know about the existence of the Liturgy of the Hours at this past lent. It's never mentioned in my parishes here in Malaysia. It's sad. Nevertheless, since then, I have recited Lauds and Vespers with my 3 sons. The only thing that we still can't do is to sing the hours.

I'm confused though - if the Graduale is the official chant book for the Mass, where do the responsorial psalms come from? It seems like the alleluia verse doesn't always match either like for the 6th Sunday of Easter.

Hi Paul! 1st time as a person with autism to find the channels! Love the way the chants go! Are there specific ways to figure out which way to chant the liturgy of the Hours each day?

Brother Roger struck a chord with young people with Taize which shows the comfort folks draw from singing praises to the Lord.

    Very informative .
I go to Latin Mass . It is so sad to me that the novus ordo Mass is full of offending music with tamborines , guitars , maracas etc . Not forgetting the dancing .

Where is that? I’m in Germany and have never experienced that. And even so, what would make the music offensive?

      @@wiking85 yes !
People don’t understand , when you go to a Catholic Church , Our Lord is in the Tabernacle is parent .
Going to Mass is to adore Him , to pray in silent with the priest or Cannon . It is all about Him .
Yes sacred music . Play the other kind at home , theater etc . Not in church .
It is all about Him to go to the Sacrifice with Him , to receive His Body .
Once I started going to Latin Mass , there is no other way .
I adore , I don’t go to Mass to be entertained.
Sorry I have been rumbling , but English is my second language .
