Thank you for sharing, very interesting. Gun crimes in USA I heard about, but that they could just randomly kick you out of the country for no reason, that is quite scary indeed. I have lived in UK a long time, but then got fed up and moved to Asia. Quite an interesting (and different) experience. I have moved to Jakarta (Indonesia) because of my wife's job, and I can definitely relate to narrow roads. In Jakarta its the same, but times 10 worse! Small roads, tons of traffic and almost no pedestrian walkways. On the other hand there is the lowest crime rating in the world, but not sure it is worth it, haha. I have traveled and lived to other Asian countries, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc... One hidden gem of Asia is Taiwan. The living standards, the transportation, quality of food, quality of life, prices of everything, healthcare, general safety, it is unbeatable on many levels and is one of the best countries I have stayed in by far. The only caveat is knowing Chinese language. I have Taiwanese wife, so it helps :) And also salaries are not that great, so best work remotely there if you can. But in my experience Taiwan beats US, UK, Baltic countries and other Asian countries by far.

Can you keep properties in UK and still pay 1% inheritance tax in Andalucia? or do you have to sell up in UK and buy in Spain?
You would have to sell your UK assets and buy Spanish assets instead
