Awesome spot. Sorry to spoil the legend but 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' is an Australian historical fiction novel by Joan Lindsay. She made the story up of the girls and teacher disappearing. Still an amazing place and the film is epically well done - sure you'll like it.
@@commanderkeen3787 Doubtful that people have disappeared without trace in Bermuda Triangle type circumstances. Its a 2k area surrounded by farmland. There should be historic news reports if you're right. Happy to concede if you can source them.
It's a very bizarre place. Has a very weird energy about it. There's definitely caverns that lead underground, the ground density changes toward the summit and feels hollow. The rock formations don't seem natural to me, feels kinda like a melted fortress. Definitely worth checking out. If you're in the area, make sure to stop at Straw's Lane where your car will roll up hill in neutral!

Oh wow there you go, thanks for the heads up! I actually didn't know that but still very keen to watch the film.
Many people have gone missing there. Definitely not entirely fiction.

I'd love to add maybe it's true.
@@martinpascoe5904 Two girls went missing, not connect with the fictional story. That is not a lot of people as you make out.
One of the many gems of rural Victoria 😎
Definitely, such a great spot 🙌
Great film
I want to go there! Love the film, but was surprised to discover it was entirely fictitious
Awesome scenery !
It's so beautiful there ☺️
Beautiful !!
It really is stunning 😁
Thank you Kate! I am in Vic and always wanted to go to the rock, I will definitely be going there. Hope you are well 🌼🌿 in Gippsland
Would definitely recommend visiting, Lena 🙌 a very unique place in Victoria.
The story is all fiction. Anyway have a picnic mate cheers
Thanks Wayne, I was unsure at the time!
@@AdventuresofKatelyn Yeah a lot of people think it`s true because the film was so big

Never had to pay when I was a kid... that socks I hope they watch out for vehicles whilst your up there.
Yeah I didn’t realise you had to pay either until we got there.
