When the cherry tomato question was asked I said Sungold before Mr. Adams could.
Prolific, easy, and early. They are the gold standard of cherries in my opinion.
And the Cherokee Purple's. Last year we were late planting them and they were huge and beautiful but green as green can be. Well, the first freeze came up on us so we picked every last one of them and put them in boxes and shut them up and kept them in the house. They ripened and tasted as good as if we pulled them right off the vine.
I am with your esteemed guest on these.

Carmelo and Sungold are two of the three varieties (along with Jeaune Flamme) that I grow every year. I can get over a thousand off of one sungold, 400 off a Jeaune Flamme and easily 200 off a single Carmelo.

Does it produce through the summer?

@@dparamful Carmelo and Sungold are both very heat tolerant. We usually get a week of 105° late in august/early September that really hurts them but otherwise they would still be going til winter

the book is great and mr. Adams was nice enough to sign it for me. I totally agree on the flavor of Sun gold. I like Matt's Wild Cherry too, it is extremely prolific.

Bill, for Brandywine try the Sudduth, set out first week in March, morning sun, hot house the cage with wrap for cold mornings & frost and your good to go.

And for me the Sudduth strain is the best tasting Brandywine... I will grow that plant even if I just get 1 tomato off it! 10/10 for flavour and texture every year

Tin cans from our ancestors for those pesky cutting worms for young plants.
