There are protesters from the broad spectrum of American society most everyday in DC. Penguin is very accustomed to this activity and how to maintain his safety while providing his journalistic eye on the situation. Otherwise, he would not be within its midst.
Thank you four input, very much appreciated. However, I was not really referring to the protestors who occupy a campus, a building every now and then, but the anti-American force that has managed to occupy the country.
One guy was saying "Ask permission to record." Do you or the press ask permission to record? I think that if anyone is out in a public space he is fair game to be recorded. Am I right?
He said that and the press basically laughed. Apparently though there is a GWU Student Conduct requirement that students are required to ask permission to record someone, but as far as the press goes, it's a free country.

Prior to the UN creating Israel as a nation state in 1948, it was called British Palestine because that portion was part of the Ottoman Empire and given to the British in 1920 to manage after WWI. Do some more research.
