I’m so glad this is being brought up, I’ve been ranting about the same thing for years now. For one, they dropped their Puma Evopower line WAY to soon. Evopower was arguably their most successful football boot line ever, both in terms of quality and popularity. The Evopower 1.3’s were the pinnacle of football boots in terms of tech, quality, and performance imo. The tech on those boots blew Nike and adidas out of the park. They also used to make the perfect boots for us wide footed players (which is a lot of us). Now Puma boots are cheaply made, has nearly 0 innovative tech, and is narrow and weird fitting as hell. Their last best boots were the netfit 5.1/6.1’s, after that they started producing the worst boots they’ve ever made. I hope they re-release evopowers or scrap one of these terrible boot lines for something better.
Honestly their best lates line was the puma ultras before the ultimates. They were the lightest weigh, had that secure fit and thin upper. The 1.1 and 1.2 while not perfect were the perfect balance between performance and comfort. The ultimates lost basically all the ultras hype and innovation
K-better feels so much nicer than FlyTouch. It’s not even close. The King Ultimate is actually an excellent boot. The Ultra Ultimate is very comfortable and responsive if you have a medium to narrow foot. Puma just isn’t good at marketing so they go under the radar.
If the King was wider, or actually shaped like a normal foot it would be a nice boot. They have never gotten the sizing for the Future right and the old semi conical studs were the best. The Ultra I would like if they were conical studs.
I had ultra ultimates, and they were great for my NARROW feet. The touch and responsiveness of the upper cannot be matched to any other boot. I now have the Puma kings, and they fit my NARROW feet pretty well, and it feels good as a synthetic boot, and I enjoy the thin feeling of the boot. I also like the soleplate and it’s very versatile for both AG and FG. I am a fan of puma boots personally, but it’s sad to see how they are trending down slowly.
Really like my Ultra 1.4's; I have several pairs to last me for awhile :D The lower price + that I always find them on a big sale was a driving factor vs. other top end boots (the most I paid for a pair was~$120 and the least was ~85 brand new) but I do really like them. I do not need change for the sake of it, I would rather the opposite! But I also wear Superstars and Stam Smiths every day whch haven't changed much in decades so what do I know
Man you ain’t lyin 😂 I got a pair of green ultra 1.3’s in my rotation right now & also got 2 pairs of the chrome&orange 1.4’s brand new tags still on, might throw em on in a couple of years 😎 paid 67$ on each pair last year during BF🔥 hidden gems for sure
Puma has always been a brand that used to do well in filling the market for people who wants to wear something else. They made so much monumental gains with Puma Future, the early Puma Ultras and King Platinum plus having Neymar further increase their popularity. Let’s not forget how good boots like the Powercat 1.10 and 1.12,the Evopower series and the final 3 Evospeed models are. Puma peaked too early in 2021 and just lost so much of the momentum they had from the early puma future models. The King for a synthetic leather boot is more close to the vapor 8/9 rather than the King plus the move from leather to synthetic was never gonna fly well. The Puma Ultra the first 2-3 models were absolutely amazing but the boots have taken a nose dive since last year. The Puma future is comfortable but lacks a lot
Puma King's have been on a downward trajectory for many a year - picked up a bit slightly with the platinum but now they've gone down the cheap, thin, lightweight route more akin to a speed boot than a good leather all rounder. Its disappointing, but whats more disappointing is seeing some of the big guns moving away from leather to thin synthetic and what feels like cheapness in general while inflating prices up and up
Meanwhile, New Balance is going to great efforts with their products. Here in Brazil they are expanding vastly, signing great stars and providing equioment for one of the biggest teams of Brazil. Their new 442 pro tf I hope to get one day
I really love the ultra-ultimate, but the thing is that heel part is annoying because it has the extension part, which is unnecessary, for me I cut the extension piece for I can feel the comfortable.
Im never buying puma cleats again. Ive bought 3 pairs and the glue between the sole plate and the shoealways wears off. The sole ends up coming off the shoe. I do play in turf when it is fairly hot. But ive never had that problem with nike or adidas shoes.
NB makes the only boots that fit me. Unfortunately they're so damn hard to get sold out everywhere. Do you know if the v8 pros are coming soon? Is that why the v7 pros are out of stock everywhere? Or have they gotten out of the boot game?
I always switched from adidas and puma don't remember buying other brands if I do switch to a different brand I go to diadora I wore them once and they are great boots
Puma was my go-to before, like 6-8 years ago because they were different than what Adidas and Nike had to offer, but now I think their design team has run out of ideas
The futures are cool. I REALLY wanted to like the Kings but tried them on and they just weren’t it. That recent old school black/white colourway look fantastic 😩
I think it’s quantity over quality, new colours every 2-3 months, and new models 6-12 months, nobody has the time to get used to a model and then a new one comes out
Do a video on nike imo nike has always been carried by the mercurial line and the best so called phantom eras were with hypervenom 1 and 3 and the gx after they killed the hypervenom phantom line 3 imo nike only had the mercurialsand tiempo and now after what happened with the tiempo mercurial is the best nike got to offer and ive always switched between adidas and nike ive had more nike if i remember correctly hypervenom 1-3 mercurial vapor 11,13,14 and i made the switch back to adidas as my main speed boot because of the fit and how it felt on my foot and i like the looks of the speedportal( i had f50s mainly from adidas i also had the predator 18+ which btw amazing feeling boots) rn i got the crazyfast + coming in soon
It’s a shame the downfall of Puma. I loved their Puma One 19.1 and 5.1. I loved the Puma ultra 4.2 as well. Now with their cleats not fitting the best I turned into a Mizuno fan and I won’t be going back to synthetic anymore unless is the Mizuno alpha 😂
I honestly feel like every brand is going downhill aside from New Balance and Mizuno . Nike and Adidas offer nothing great compared to the beautiful lineups and color ways they had from like 2012-2018
Losing their way again. Personally I'm not buying anything with King on it that isn't real K-leather. Yes, I may be old fashioned but I don't care. That said the artificial leather on the Mizuno Monarcida is actually really good. Puma need to be careful otherwise New Balance will be rapidly on their shoulders looking to overtake them. Bob 🇬🇧
How? Lotto and Diadora don't make good boots anymore. If they ever get their 💩 together and remember how to make great boots then they might make a comeback. But not with the products they are putting out these days

The King classic(s) is bar-none their most popular boot, then the EvoSpeed, then the EvoPower for sure
And I'm still hoping to find evopower 1.3
Honestly their best lates line was the puma ultras before the ultimates. They were the lightest weigh, had that secure fit and thin upper. The 1.1 and 1.2 while not perfect were the perfect balance between performance and comfort. The ultimates lost basically all the ultras hype and innovation
i actually have a pair of evopower 1.3 and I still cant believe how comfortable they are
Bring the Evopowers back!
K-better feels so much nicer than FlyTouch. It’s not even close. The King Ultimate is actually an excellent boot. The Ultra Ultimate is very comfortable and responsive if you have a medium to narrow foot. Puma just isn’t good at marketing so they go under the radar.
I agree that puma has been going down hill
Yes they are going downhill, but they are still wayyyy better than what Nike and Adidas are offering right now in my opinion
Their drop for me came when they switched the knitted upper of the ultra 1.1 and 1.2s to the synthetic plasticy upper in the 1.3 onwards
If the King was wider, or actually shaped like a normal foot it would be a nice boot.
They have never gotten the sizing for the Future right and the old semi conical studs were the best.
The Ultra I would like if they were conical studs.
What do you think is off with sizing future

which one is better
Can you review the new tiempo indoors? Or just indoors in general? Looking for new ones for the winter👍🏽
They should ve sustained big wide toebox in ultra. It is more ergonomic. It now become little bit smaller for slim foot.
Really like my Ultra 1.4's; I have several pairs to last me for awhile :D The lower price + that I always find them on a big sale was a driving factor vs. other top end boots (the most I paid for a pair was~$120 and the least was ~85 brand new) but I do really like them. Just bought a pair of King Ultimate for $115CAD.
It's alright. A lot narrower than expected. Really hope they stretch like real leather...

The future is better than the Phantom and more flexible and comfortable than the Predator. It is also more affordable and has very cool color options.

If the Puma King is not leather, the brand suffers 🤷🏻♂️ always has been that way, the few times it has happened
I really love the ultra-ultimate, but the thing is that heel part is annoying because it has the extension part, which is unnecessary, for me I cut the extension piece for I can feel the comfortable.

Frantic is the word that comes to mind when I think of Puma, particularly with their designs & marketing.
NB makes the only boots that fit me. Unfortunately they're so damn hard to get sold out everywhere. Do you know if the v8 pros are coming soon? Is that why the v7 pros are out of stock everywhere? Or have they gotten out of the boot game?

Could you do a video on boots with solid protection and which ones you would recommend the most
ua-cam.com/users/shortsWYToKrid_kY
The best were Evopower line up. Sad they already stopped the production
The puma future fits way more different foot type than Nike and adidas. Basically not the average standard foot shapes
in my eyes, new balance has definitely overtaken puma
My puma ultra 1.2s are my favourite boot and that’s when I reckon they were at the top of their game
Me too, ultra 1.2 is still my favorite boot
can you please do a video on the new asics swift strike boots
Puma was my go-to before, like 6-8 years ago because they were different than what Adidas and Nike had to offer, but now I think their design team has run out of ideas
Winter is coming. You should rank or review indoors and turf boots.
Which boots have the most aggressive traction? Can someone help me out here. Has to be fg
The new design is hurrendous.. ashame Bcos the upper could really protector your feet.. I had to return them
The futures are cool. I REALLY wanted to like the Kings but tried them on and they just weren’t it. That recent old school black/white colourway look fantastic 😩

When you have super slim feet ultra is the only way to go
i really like my Puma King Ultimates!
Do a video on nike imo nike has always been carried by the mercurial line and the best so called phantom eras were with hypervenom 1 and 3 and the gx after they killed the hypervenom phantom line 3 imo nike only had the mercurialsand tiempo and now after what happened with the tiempo mercurial is the best nike got to offer and ive always switched between adidas and nike ive had more nike if i remember correctly hypervenom 1-3 mercurial vapor 11,13,14 and i made the switch back to adidas as my main speed boot because of the fit and how it felt on my foot and i like the looks of the speedportal( i had f50s mainly from adidas i also had the predator 18+ which btw amazing feeling boots) rn i got the crazyfast + coming in soon
future z 1.4 felt much more comfortable especially the lazertouch
Same with the Future Z 1.3 Lazertouch
It’s a shame the downfall of Puma. I loved their Puma One 19.1 and 5.1. I loved the Puma ultra 4.2 as well. Now with their cleats not fitting the best I turned into a Mizuno fan and I won’t be going back to synthetic anymore unless is the Mizuno alpha 😂
They need neymar to wear various boots and not just stick to only one silo per player to advertise their whole range
Please review ASICS ds light x fly5
That puma king looks very very uncomfortable just by looking at it
I loved puma, had to switch to new balance tekela low
Future is carrying all the weight
Bring back the evopowers!!!
Wooow I never knew these birds were real 😱😱😱😱.. thought roadrunner bird was made up
I honestly feel like every brand is going downhill aside from New Balance and Mizuno . Nike and Adidas offer nothing great compared to the beautiful lineups and color ways they had from like 2012-2018
Good points
Netfits were excellent, they haven't reached that since
Losing their way again.
Bob 🇬🇧
The Future is good, the King is mid, and the Ultra is booty cheeks. 😂
Too few Sonics.
i dont understand how can you guys play with puma future they are so fucking hight from the ground
I know two people now that have gotten injured on AG wearing the Future Ultimates.
Future is still good and I think still unique in the market. Ultras have become one of the worst boots on the market
where's the predator review video??
Ever since the ultimate they’ve been shit
The best cleat is the puma 1.3
1.4 was slightly worse and ultimate was atrocious
Just close down PUMA. BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF DIADORA N LOTTO.
How? Lotto and Diadora don't make good boots anymore. If they ever get their 💩 together and remember how to make great boots then they might make a comeback. But not with the products they are putting out these days
My ultra ultimates from last year are really bad. Dont recommend.
One of the worst colorways
