I'm so glad you described that Elsa "Ice scale mail" problem! I remember being immersed in the early Frozen fandom and thinking that there was no way, outside of CGI, to duplicate the rectangular/square blue ice sequins for Elsa's transformation dress. When the early stills were released for Elsa's Frozen 2 dress (ocean scene) all that I saw was: embroidery (easy to duplicate) and round sequins with holes in the middle (oh look, a sequin that exists already) . I got the distinct impression that the professional Disney face character support teams pitched an unholy fit so that the Frozen 2 outfits could be more easily replicated in reality.
My questions: (1) My fav Princess as a kid was Aurora. I would have been crushed if Blue Dress Aurora showed up tho. I would have wanted Pink Dress Aurora. Cause the final scene shows both alternating, there's kinda no official one I guess? Did they have both dresses for her? (2) Did your company offer Mulan/Jasmine/Tiana princesses for parties? Please tell me they had appropriate ethnicity staff on board if so. And if not.. was it just white girls in black wigs? Or if the client wanted those princesses, did the company just say no cause they had no one on staff? Just curious the situation surrounding non-white princesses.
I want to tell you this, Jessica. I just bought a Snow White costume and am going to use it for Halloween. I'm male so I was really nervous about it, but I chose to be happy 😂😁
Make my day. As a child my super conservative father got a tutu, toeshoes and a head band to be a ballerina for a Halloween party. The joy of this still to this day brings a little skip to my heart. There’s a time to play in everyone’s life. Go find your inner Snow White 😊
This was such fun. Here in the UK, the Party Princess idea doesn't seem to have caught on that much. With our weather and tiny gardens, Aerial would probably end up sitting in a puddle whilst the rain poured down. Snow White wouldn't get there because we only have to smell snow and our transport system seizes up. Anna would end up in her element as the gales blew, but her wellies (wellington boots) wouldn't be blue, they'd be black or green, and Cinderella's pumpkin coach would be stopped for speeding by the motorway police. Olaf wouldn't be party booked at all because he looks like so many of the men round here, and they'd be Olaf for a meat pie and a warm beer. Finally, The Elf on the Shelf would fall off, break his leg, and be driven to hospital in an ambulance, yelling, "Thank God for the NHS".
Yes jess!!!! Im not early because i didn't see the notification but i always love your videos so much so that ive watched every single one of your vids and as soon as i can see a new one, and watch a new one i just end up rewatching like 10 more with the new one!
HI!😊 I am new to this channel, and I've heard about the girl and the Publix chicken a couple of times, but not the actual story. I saw your comment and thought maybe you'd be able to tell me where it is that Jessica told that story. I hope you have a great day/night!😄
Congrats on another great video. Love seeing your content. Again, looking super gorgeous. Bo matter how fast I’m scrolling past the rest of the great sea of content you never fail to catch my eye and stop me.
So cool to hear all your answers.... though I have to admit, that coronation Ana wig looks better to me than the Elsa one you showed photos of at 2:54 and 11:49. Maybe it's just in that photo though. The wig in 10:54 looks better though, can I guess they got that one soon before you left or something bc you didnt mention it?
I have always thought the same thing when she's shown pictures of the wig. I think maybe the way they are "supposed" to look just seems too big to me idk. I think maybe it being tighter it looked like it could be hair on scalp and not hair on hair
damn girl, its amazing how confident and stunning you are, get lost in those blue eyes and blonde hair too much. love the stories, could listen to you all the time
I used to work as a party princess! And it’s so interesting to hear about how different companies are run! I wanted to play Rapunzel so badly! But I have gray blue eyes, and I was sent on Elsa parties literally every weekend, with an exception to a few other princesses once in a while. And I was so willing to buy green contacts! I agree with the Elsa dress being the most uncomfortable though! And I had to pretend that I wasn’t dying from that corset! Love your videos by the way!
I liked one of your skits and wound up here because something about you got me wondering if maybe the average woman in 2024 should do this sort of thing at least once in their life. (or really anything involving volunteering, play-acting, or being imaginative with children) You seem so wonderful and caring while still being real about everything and I'm willing to bet it's due in some part to the children keeping you grounded, inspired, and optimistic about life. Maybe playing a princess as an adult can help show women they can still be feminine while still being a strong woman? I dunno, something like that. Oh, and the fact you can drive stick, let alone in a giant hoop and princess shoes, is so great to hear. It's a lost art these days. Even if a man disliked almost everything about a woman, he'd still respect the hell out of her just because she knows how a clutch works 😁
I always thought you looked like a Disney princess. They should make one for you. It would be Awesome! I’ve never dreamt of being a Disney princess but then only recently has there been a princess of color. Still unfavorable.
I had a Power Ranger at my birthday party, lol. The red ranger, and I have pictures of him teaching my grandma some of their 'fighting moves'. I can't believe how pretty you look in those costumes, it's so interesting how well you seem to 'fit' each costume/character (like, dressed as Elsa you totally look like Elsa but dressed as Snow White I only see Snow White...)
I think the eye colour thing is also that the style in frozen has MASSIVE eyes, meanwhile most princess movies (that have princesses you did lol) had more proportionate eyes and the colour is less noticeable
I know I'm late to the party (pun intended), and Jessica, you may not see this. But the last question sparked a question for me. Do you (or anyone else at the party princess company) have to worry about food or drink allergies (and others, too) when it comes to eating or drinking at parties (being at parties)? For example, if someone had a dairy allergy and the cake had dairy, how would the princess go about it/explain why they couldn't partake in cake eating? Because I totally agree with the reasoning why princesses should eat and drink a little at the parties.
If I had the opportunity to work as a party princess in my early 20s when I would have looked the part, my preference would have been Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I turned 20 in 2008, so just before Princess and the Frog and Tangled, so the classic princesses were still the only princesses. My other favourites as a kid were all the ones with different skin tones, so I wouldn't have played those in my pasty white complexion 😅
Fun fact: Germany, where snow white is from has black haired blue eyed people. Strange mixture, but they exist. Probably it's a mix between Mediterranean and Aryan. Mainly the south, but anyway, I had a gf, who would strike you as a light blue black haired beauty. And had light skin as well 😊 But I have one more question for you: Did you (afterwards) include or adapt anything from your princess days from any outfit or makeup into your own habit of dressing or acting or something like that?
Don't to embarrassed about that bra having to pull up every time you turn around it happens and you just handle it in the best way how and I would turn red to LoL
Your stories about being a party princess always make me want to do it 😂 it seems like such a fun job!
13:05 So we throwin shade at Publix chicken Anna huh? 😂

What if you were alirgic to the food put out?
Did you ever work parties for teens or adults that wanted a princess present?
Did your company ever have a Mulan?
Another question I thought of is, did you (or anyone else at the party princess company) go to a party where it was a birthday boy, not a girl?
Hey
My friends girlfriend used to be a party princess but her most popular character was tinker bell.
Did the kids or the parents mind if you had too much or too little makeup on?
What are the requirements to be a party princess?
Second
I bet with all those Bobby pins you never could go near the airport without setting off the metal detectors.
