If someone has rental properties under $1 million. In a sole proprietor company, would it be better to incorporate that company if the motivation was to sell said properties over the next year or so. To take advantage of the $900,000 tax exemption. Just wondering what strategies you might have. Thanks so much you are very insightful really appreciate your knowledge.
unfortunately the life time capital gain exemption you refer to only applies to qualified small business shares and generally speaking it does not apply to an investment holding company
