OpenAI has recently updated the GPT-4 interface - this step is no longer required. Simply attach the file(s) using the paperclip icon in the message window and upload your files for analysis.
The video introduces ChatGPT's Advanced Data Analysis feature, which allows users to upload text documents for analysis to identify trends and gain insights. Users can also transform data into visualizations. Supported file types include PowerPoint presentations, text files, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets, with a maximum upload limit of 10 documents, each up to 500 megabytes in size. In the example provided, the speaker demonstrates using a CSV file containing data on devices connected to an Azure AD domain. They ask ChatGPT to analyze the data and provide a summary of the total number of devices for each operating system (iOS, Android, and Windows). ChatGPT processes the request, summarizes the data, and presents the results, showing the number of devices for each OS. The speaker then requests a further level of detail, asking ChatGPT to summarize the version numbers of iOS devices. ChatGPT processes the request and provides a summary of the iOS device versions. Finally, the speaker asks ChatGPT to create a CSV file containing the summarized data. ChatGPT generates the CSV file, which the user can download and use elsewhere for further analysis. The video emphasizes the ease and utility of ChatGPT's Advanced Data Analysis feature and encourages viewers to subscribe for more examples of its use. Hi! Does it still make sense to learn Data Analytics ? Including SQL, Power BI, Excel tools etc.? Seems like basic knowledge on that would be enough to start a new career. What's your thoughts on that? Ps. Do you still see the future in Data analytics? or it's better to learn different skills in order to change the job?
Hey Neal - that's a really great and thought provoking question - you had me thinking for a while! I think at this stage Generative AI, inc. ChatGPT is another tool at our disposal alongside SQL, Power BI, Excel etc. During my time using data analytics, I have seen instances where ChatGPT hasn't always used the most effective way of delivering a result, which can be down to the way a question is phrased but also due to assumptions made by the model. In order to verify the output ChatGPT provides it's useful to understand the fundamentals of data analytics through the tools you mention to ensure you're confident with the end result. I would be hesitant to totally trust ChatGPT to provide the right T-SQL statement for something without being able to verify someway. However, that may change over time as Gen AI develops. I do think Gen AI data engineering skills will sit alongside traditional data analytics roles in business moving forward.
Thanks for an extensive reply! I know AI is still far from being perfect but the pace of development made me thinking if it make sense to learn new skills. Before I learn and master these tools AI will probably do a way better job than I could. So much uncertainty in my head right now. Anyway, it was nice to watch your video. looking forward another ones!@@flowstateai
Is there a step to getting the advanced data analysis feature shown at 2:13? I can't figure out what to click.

Helpful video thanks. Can it generate results into an excel file so I can download?
You can write (or ask it to write) a code to accomplish that
Yes, absolutely - simply ask it to output an Excel file with your results
great topic, thanks 👍
Paying $20/month for what your pivot table could do in less than a half a minute?
Exactly
Pivot table?
