Hello!😊 Thank you so much❤ for the video, I was looking for one to show me how to propagate my philodendron squamiferum. And yours is the best! I just need to ask to be sure- when I cut off the top of the plant, it means there will be new leaves coming from the mother plant, right? I just dont want to kill my dear plant..:D

Apologies for this late response! But yes! Where you took a cutting from, a new plant will grow from that same place just next to it. You will not kill the mother plant. If anything, you are promoting more growth by cutting from it, IMO!
maybe you could update me if you have already cut it. Have you yet?

@@Wondrouslybotanic Hi! Thank you for the answer:). No, I havent cut it yet. I decided I will wait for few leaves to come out, and I will cut it then, considering my plant isnt that big yet.. But I am glad you say it is gonna be all right;). Im looking forward to having more baby plants from the mother plant:)))

      Apologies for this late response!
It sure has rooted for me! its a whole new plant. I actually repotted it with the mother plant and its thriving. I have also recently took a cutting from it because it has grown so much!
