I'll be more interested to see how we do over the whole of next season. this win sets us up to go into the transfer window and sign our 1st choice signings, I have no doubt we will be a lot stronger next season and we will offer a much better challenge in the Premier league. Mourinho is a serial winner, he is at a club that can offer the top wages, can offer CL football and a club rich in tradition. If Mourinho gets all his transfer targets this summer then I would put money on United putting up a challenge for the title next season, we might not win it but I reckon we will get a hell of a lot closer to it than the past few years.

Samuel B it’s the progression, the way he deals w players, the signing philosophy, he’s passion for the club, the football we’re playing(best since Fergie atm). This is the most excited we’ve felt for a while. Mourinho was there to win and leave, not sustained success. He didn’t even win PL, and the way he ended at Utd was really terrible. I love Mourinho but Utd is not for him.

The sense of relief for me after this match was a lot but can't imagine what it was like for Jose. Apart from champions league finals this was one of the biggest matches of his managerial career and the same for the club.

I said at the time how remarkable Mourinho's achievements were with the squad, whereas everyone I knew was slating him. 6th and winning the Europa League in his first season was incredible. If Ten Haag achieved that next season he'd be hailed as the second coming of Christ
The league season was poor by United's standards 6th wasn't good enough lack of goals and loads of draws done them in. In fact they had the most draws in the league with 15. Defensively very good but that's typical Jose his sides were always strong defensively but heavily reliant on Zlatan that was the problem he did his part with 17 goals but the next best was Mata with 6 and Rashford only scored 5.
If Herrera didn't get that harsh red card against Chelsea we would be playing FA cup final against Arsenal this Saturday
