Thank You sincerely! I could never have figured out how to assemble this antenna without your help. This one of the most helpful videos on UA-cam. Very well presented and narrated. My antenna came out perfectly thanks to you. I agree with Mike OMAX, "Thanks for a video, $20 antenna and $100 assemble."

I have just watched and have it now in up in the air. The distance is 20 feet., I got 36 channels at great signal. My neighbor get the same channel at the cost of $60.00. Walmart has this antenna at cost of $15.00. WOW !! What a savings. Live in the country, in a valley, down hill. Watch to whole video before you start assembling, tips are given. Thanks for the Video.

BIG thanks man, the directions were about useless and this made it MUCH easier to assemble...I know it's too late to edit but it would have been easier to put the parts assembled @ 10:49 of the vid and the "end result" @ 12:14 of same in at the very beginning..(the long "U" shaped piece that takes the 20 short rods and fits into the 4 squares)..like you said, good thing it's cheap, flexible plastic but it was still a chore to work it in without breaking/bending parts..and I did need a blade knife to shave off excess plastic in this step...still very helpful

To fit the long "U" shaped piece that fits into the four square holes, I unscrewed the metal ribbons that attach to the rods located above the square holes. This will allow you to separate the rods just enough to get the ends of the long "U" piece into the square holes. Then just push the rods back together on the spacer and re-attach the metal ribbons. Use needle nose pliers to help pull the ribbons back through. I also used a finger nail file to de-burr the rod ends and a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws when attaching the ribbons. I don't think I could have assembled this antenna without this video---very helpful and with excellent audio.

Very good job. The last part is the 4 bigger screws. They go in the preset places to go into the little squares that were holding the last big piece.

Is every section provided a connection to the system? It looked as though a large volume of the aluminum tubes had no connection to any of the others... If they're not connected there is no purpose for them...

How long until those flimsy plastic parts crack from UV exposure and fall apart? Why the hell would anyone put anything made of plastic outdoors? I live in Australia - this stuff would turn to confetti after it's first summer on the roof. Absolutely absurd.

Putting the aluminum tubes in the freezer should cause them to shrink and strengthen just enough to avoid warping. BUT the heat from your hands will cause them to heat up rapidly (aluminium is highly thermally conductive) so wear winter gloves while doing so.
You can also use a piece of metal such as a round screwdriver of the same size, heated and a small amount of oil put over it to smooth out the plastic holes (but don't angle your hands while doing so or you'll warp the plastic). Not ideal, but if you keep your hands clear it's a little safer than using a sharp blade to try and fix it: Sharp touching flesh is instant problem, heat takes time to transfer and you'll likely feel it before a burn occurs - The plastic doesn't require that much heat to re-form it so it isn't that likely to burn you anyhow.

Thanks. I could not have done this assembly from reading / looking at the written directions. They were worthless. I live in the sticks ... able to get spotty reception of some UHF channels. Am going to take it to an suburban area and see how it does.

Thanks. My antenna didn't come with instructions so your video was invaluable. I did notice that the last piece should have been put in earlier as it's a hard thing to fit when everything else is assembled.
