YAY LIAM!! I honestly really like the pink you ended up with, I think it suits the character much more than the out-of-box magenta. I love the clouding on the beam weapons, and the weathering!! *chefs kiss* great job pal ☺️
Thank you so much!! There are so many model kit review channels so I don't see much point in the classic review type video, I think I'm finally falling into my own thang!
Ah thank you! I don't always succeed, but generally I rely on colour theory. Because I have over 15 years of formal art training (mostly in illustration) I learned colour theory at a young age, but there are also many colour wheels online too! It gets easier to mix colours when you learn about how cool & warm colors interact with one another. For instance, red and blue make purple (usually) but only if you're using pure red and pure blue. If your blue has a bit of green in it, or your red is a bit rusty looking, your purple will look kind of brown. When in doubt, experiment by spraying or painting some test pieces and write down the colours you used (I save old plastic cutlery for this).
A great look, the details really stood out. The weapons really looked good to me. Another great video Liam.
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Great video as always! Looking forward to your next one.
Thank you! Me too, I think it'll be pretty fun!

Ahh thank you my friend :) so kind of you 😊
Always appreciate the quality modeling breakdowns! Finished piece looks awesome! I'm actually digging the subdued realism look of it.

I love how it looks, great job
Thank you so much!
I know the pink is darker than it should be but I like it, the darker colour looks more weathered and faded to go with the weathering you added.
Thank you!! I always like to paint a little darker for those specific reasons!
🔥
Thank you!!
Giant chunky parts? Big weapons? You know me to well.
Haha yeah it's a good one! The rifle is fairly small but there's some other great stuff!
When it comes to kits where the base color anime accurate like the guels dilanza how do you mix a color that is accurate?
