The plank or patch graft is a type of graft that is widely used in citriculture for grafting citrus trees. It usually has a high probability of success.
This type of graft in question is characterized by having the freedom to choose the number of buds, since the final size of the plank will vary depending on the purpose and place of grafting.

Saludos: tengo una pregunta.en el injerto cuál de los 2 árboles tenía gue estar dando frutos el injerto o el gue ya está creciendo?

Hola Steven,
En el caso del video se trata de naranjos adultos que ya están produciendo naranja, pero a los cuales se realiza injerto para cambiar la variedad de esta naranja por otra. Por ser una variedad de naranja actualmente no rentable y poco productiva.
El nuevo injerto que efectuamos por plancha o parche irá creciendo para dar la nueva naranja en unos años y el naranjo antiguo lo iremos cortando de manera progresiva mientras el injerto va creciendo, hasta finalmente y con los años dejar solo el injerto con la nueva variedad.
Si dejaras árbol antiguo e injerto nuevo, los dos producirían naranja por igual, tendrías dos variedades en el mismo árbol, si te refieres a eso. Las varas de injertos es aconsejable cogerlas de plantones jóvenes a ser posible de entre 4-10 años, si puede ser, por tener mucha más vigorosidad que naranjos más adultos.

Hola Pedro,
Como prefieras, si tienes suficiente plástico de injerto cúbrelo entero, si vas corto por diámetro de rama, pues cúbrelo parcialmente dejando las yemas al aire por ejemplo, de una u otra manera los injertos cicatrizan correctamente, pero tiene que estar mayormente cubierto para que no le dé mucho el aire y se acabe secando la plancha.

Una pregunta, cuando ya haya pagado ese injerto,se corta la parte de arriba del injerto,la ramita

Hola Patricio,
Sí, puedes ir reduciendo progresivamente el tamaño de la rama conforme empiece a crecer la yema de injerto, hasta cortarla en su totalidad cuando el injerto ya tenga por lo menos 1 cm de diámetro, ya que mientras tanto servirá para poder atar el injerto y que no se rompa por el viento.
Recuerda hacer un corte diagonal a la hora de cortar la rama para que el agua no se acumule en el corte e intenta aplicar pasta cicatrizante.
