I commissioned this track! I didn't expect Brandon to go so hard, but I'm super impressed by the result. Kaneki vs. Shinichi is a matchup that just speaks to me on a thematic level; two young men, ripped away from their normal lives and forced to fight to survive, becoming more monster than human in the process. Shinichi managed to hold onto his humanity in the end, but maybe it's Kaneki's brutality that will score him the win. Either way, I hope you enjoy this one!

I am a simple man, I see Brandon yates, I click I like the sound of this, the techno is easy to groove to and the rest just fits together like puzzles pieces I like the high notes that sound like The way the Right Hand speaks. (I'm writing this as I'm listening) This is very enjoyable, may just add this to my personal track playlist with the other ones I like. I like the pulse it has and the piano near the end. Then it ramps back up before growing solemn again 9/10 I tend to like when you two work together
I only know Shinechi feats, but while his speed and reaction time are impressive, he's at best building level in terms of strength and durability. He's more of a "analyzes your weaknesses and then goes in for a single deadly strike" rather than someone who would be constantly attacking, so alot of this fight would be him retreating and learning how the tokyo ghoul operates and how best to eliminate him
Kaneki has fought more dangerous foes. His kagune is also way more versatile than Migi and allows better mobility. Also, his regeneration means he pretty much won't die unless he gets his head cutoff
Oh man Kaneki finally got a track let's go, it sounds really good with a good tragic vibe to it which is you know very fitting and while not my preferred for him i'm gonna take this one with no regrets at all. That art is super great as well and added bonus Kaneki sweeps here which is admittedly pretty epic
A bit bummed out that Shinichi apparently loses this one given I’ve just watched Parasyte recently, even if this MU is probably the best one for both characters. Either way, I like it. It definitely has that pretty « heavy » atmosphere without feeling too dark/horror, something that’s pretty hard to describe but that fits really well both series. I must say that I love the 2:45-3:12 segment, it’s « simple » (I don’t like using this word because it sounds like me saying it’s easy to make when it really isn’t) yet it just is amazing. The piano segment before the ending also stands out greatly, so does its mixture with the regular melody in the ending, gives it a really nice sound that definitely works as an ending. The « outro » that’s really calm and soft also works wonderfully for those two, no matter which one wins. Really I can’t say just how much this song is absolutely perfectly fitting for both characters. I must also say that I appreciate the absence of of a completely Unravel-based melody because *I really don’t like Unravel* so seeing it absent (at least I didn’t hear it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s here) is nice. Overall a really great OST that perfectly fits both characters and even if my favorite of the two loses, I’d really like seeing this MU being done in a real DB eventually. Amazing work as always.

Honestly, I prefer "Unravel Your Humanity" as a track name. Just mixing their series' names feels a tad lazy imo, and I feel like this title would play more into their main theme (that of "Those Who Fight Monsters"), and is inspired by the names of some of the series' most iconic songs (Unravel and Shinzou wo Sasageyo/Dedicate Your Hearts)
Script time! 00.0 We open on a dark and dreary night in the 20th ward of Tokyo with rain pouring down from the sky. We zoom in from the skyline to the street until we reach a dark, decrepit alleyway. The sounds of tearing flesh and munching bone can be heard as the centipede of Anteiku, the former human turned ghoul Kaneki Ken can be seen feasting on a human corpse. As the one eyed ghoul continues his meal, the camera shifts to the mouth of the alley as a shadowy figure can be seen approaching Kaneki. This figure is revealed to be none other than the human parasite himself, Shinichi Izumi. As he closes in on Kaneki, the munching stops as the one eyed ghoul raises his head. “If you were smart, you would know it is very rude to interrupt a ghoul’s dinner. So if you value your life, it would be wise of you to leave,” Unflinching, the host of Migi stares down the ghoul and firmly states. “So, you are another one of Gotou’s abominations, no matter, I will kill you just like all the rest of them!” 0.02 With this declaration, Kaneki fully stands up from his crouched position and turns to face the parasitic college student. “So, you won’t let me enjoy my dinner? That’s perfectly fine.” As he says this, his left eye shifts from it’s dull grey iris to his kakugan eye as he smiles sadisticly, while cracking his right index finger. I’ll just eat you instead!” With this Kaneki charges at Shinichi while activating his kagune FIGHT!

Track idea: Tom and Jerry vs Ren and Stimpy “Toxic Relations” I feel like Tom and Jerry will win because they’re more wacky and have toon force so they can survive nearly anything
I know this has nothing to do with this match-up, but just bear with me. This track is really fitting for a Gorr vs Saint Walker fight. The techo vibe sounds really good for space, the big orchestral rock sounds amazing for a fast paced, hard hitting exchange, and there are the two vocal parts that sound like the voices are saying "I know I believe" in the beginning and "I shall murder them all" near the end. Also, the end really captures an emotional feel that Saint knows someone will need to die. Either himself or Gorr. Like i said, nothing to do with the actual match of Kaneki vs Shinichi, but if you close your eyes and keep an open mind, you'll see.
I have to say, I dig the art for this. The hand looks as if its fighting itself, a battle ground for two monsters. I dig the aesthetic. I also enjoy the how the melodic tones of Tokyo Ghoul are combined with the harsh electronic beats of Parasyte are mixed into this track.
This is a pretty good one! They seem similar enough and though I hear Eren is a big one, this honestly feels more similar. Lucy is interesting but she feels better for anything telekinetic of some kind, physical seems odd

Another colab with infotron, you both work well together and it shows in this track. Was the visualizer meant to look like a beating heart? Though it only looks like that when I'm not looking at the art closely enough. It combined with the track managed to creep me out a little suprisingly.

The one eyed King should take this fight. If this was just Tokyo Ghoul Kaneki then it would be much closer. But when we get into RE and we get shit like Dragon and Messiah Kaneki, there is just nothing Shinichi can do to him. He is faster, far more durable, has better attack potency, and better hacks. The Centipede Kaneki takes this victory.

Back in the day I used to want this match up but honestly now it's so uneven that I don't think it'd be fair for either character. Kaneki is leagues above Shinichi now it ain't even funny.
Plus it's not just stats Kaneki literally takes every single advantage imaginable apart from maybe strategy but even then that's only via Migi and not Shinichi himself.
As great as this track is I feel like Alex Mercer or James Heller from Prototype 1-2 would be a better opponent for Kaneki their powers are very similar in application and Abilities not to mention their roles are also very similar in terms of the IP especially with James.

I only know Shinechi feats, but while his speed and reaction time are impressive, he's at best building level in terms of strength and durability. He's more of a "analyzes your weaknesses and then goes in for a single deadly strike" rather than someone who would be constantly attacking, so alot of this fight would be him retreating and learning how the tokyo ghoul operates and how best to eliminate him
Kaneki has fought more dangerous foes. His kagune is also way more versatile than Migi and allows better mobility. Also, his regeneration means he pretty much won't die unless he gets his head cutoff

Also, Kaneki has more experience since he was trained by Arima for 2 years. So yeah, Kaneki wins this.
Oh man Kaneki finally got a track let's go, it sounds really good with a good tragic vibe to it which is you know very fitting and while not my preferred for him i'm gonna take this one with no regrets at all.
That art is super great as well and added bonus Kaneki sweeps here which is admittedly pretty epic
A bit bummed out that Shinichi apparently loses this one given I’ve just watched Parasyte recently, even if this MU is probably the best one for both characters.
Either way, I like it. It definitely has that pretty « heavy » atmosphere without feeling too dark/horror, something that’s pretty hard to describe but that fits really well both series.
I must say that I love the 2:45-3:12 segment, it’s « simple » (I don’t like using this word because it sounds like me saying it’s easy to make when it really isn’t) yet it just is amazing.
The piano segment before the ending also stands out greatly, so does its mixture with the regular melody in the ending, gives it a really nice sound that definitely works as an ending. The « outro » that’s really calm and soft also works wonderfully for those two, no matter which one wins. Really I can’t say just how much this song is absolutely perfectly fitting for both characters.
I must also say that I appreciate the absence of of a completely Unravel-based melody because *I really don’t like Unravel* so seeing it absent (at least I didn’t hear it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s here) is nice.
Overall a really great OST that perfectly fits both characters and even if my favorite of the two loses, I’d really like seeing this MU being done in a real DB eventually. Amazing work as always.

The sounds of tearing flesh and munching bone can be heard as the centipede of Anteiku, the former human turned ghoul Kaneki Ken can be seen feasting on a human corpse. As the one eyed ghoul continues his meal, the camera shifts to the mouth of the alley as a shadowy figure can be seen approaching Kaneki. This figure is revealed to be none other than the human parasite himself, Shinichi Izumi. As he closes in on Kaneki, the munching stops as the one eyed ghoul raises his head. “If you were smart, you would know it is very rude to interrupt a ghoul’s dinner. So if you value your life, it would be wise of you to leave,” Unflinching, the host of Migi stares down the ghoul and firmly states. “So, you are another one of Gotou’s abominations, no matter, I will kill you just like all the rest of them!”
0.02 With this declaration, Kaneki fully stands up from his crouched position and turns to face the parasitic college student. “So, you won’t let me enjoy my dinner? I was just thinking about how ghouls and parasytes were very similar yet very different at the same time. Oh and Kaneki ftw..
I know this has nothing to do with this match-up, but just bear with me. This track is really fitting for a Gorr vs Saint Walker fight. The techo vibe sounds really good for space, the big orchestral rock sounds amazing for a fast paced, hard hitting exchange, and there are the two vocal parts that sound like the voices are saying "I know I believe" in the beginning and "I shall murder them all" near the end. Also, the end really captures an emotional feel that Saint knows someone will need to die. Either himself or Gorr. Like i said, nothing to do with the actual match of Kaneki vs Shinichi, but if you close your eyes and keep an open mind, you'll see.

I have to say, I dig the art for this. The hand looks as if its fighting itself, a battle ground for two monsters. I dig the aesthetic. I also enjoy the how the melodic tones of Tokyo Ghoul are combined with the harsh electronic beats of Parasyte are mixed into this track.

Another colab with infotron, you both work well together and it shows in this track. Was the visualizer meant to look like a beating heart? Though it only looks like that when I'm not looking at the art closely enough. It combined with the track managed to creep me out a little suprisingly.

But when we get into RE and we get shit like Dragon and Messiah Kaneki, there is just nothing Shinichi can do to him. He is faster, far more durable, has better attack potency, and better hacks. Back in the day I used to want this match up but honestly now it's so uneven that I don't think it'd be fair for either character. Kaneki is leagues above Shinichi now it ain't even funny.
Plus it's not just stats Kaneki literally takes every single advantage imaginable apart from maybe strategy but even then that's only via Migi and not Shinichi himself.
As great as this track is I feel like Alex Mercer or James Heller from Prototype 1-2 would be a better opponent for Kaneki their powers are very similar in application and Abilities not to mention their roles are also very similar in terms of the IP especially with James.
Or you can just give Alex to Cole and James to Agent Venom or something
