My father worked with Gene Kelly on location. He found him to be kind, patient, always respectful toward people regarrdless of their position or station in life, combined with a good sense of humor. I wanted to clarify your description and give Mr. Kelly the respect he deserves. Thank you.
I showed Bob Hope his newsreels and films of him entertaining the troops in WW2 in the National Archives in 1985. He was a Wonderful Man to talk to and Very Kind and Appreciative of my efforts. He commented on many of the Paramount Newsreels and told me several anecdotes about them. It Was A Fabulous Experience For me!
Some people are going to hate this one: John Wayne. My aunt was a private duty nurse who took care of his mother. He would come to her house drunk, and verbally berate his own mother. My aunt said she would never watch a movie of his because of the way he treated his mother.
Thank you for the video, a little disheartening to see some of your favorite actors on this list. Btw, that Matthew Broderick in your "Then" pic, not Anthony Michael Hall.
One very upsetting thing about many of the old stars is when aids came along. Elizabeth Taylor asked them to be in benefits to raise awareness and money....and they all refused......citing “we have to protect our careers”. She said something like this; “you all have more money than god, and your careers don’t need protection; these people did your hair and makeup, built the sets and lighting, and made you all look good; which helped your careers”......They all still refused to help.....Sad, that everyone does not have Elizabeth Taylor’s courage
When I think of Jerry Lewis, all I can think of is a 5-year-old who wants attention and will do anything to get it. His idea of comedy was about as childish as could be and , in my opinion, isn’t humorous at all!
I remember a Zsa Zsa Gabor moment in the late 70s. I was at the opening night of Annie at the Schubert Theater in LA. I saw a parade of stars walking the red carpet. Zsa Zsa got out of a limo with some young man escorting her. The look on her face Ill never forget. She was furious about something. She radiated rage. Some photographer next to me snapped his fingers and said here Zsa Zsa, and she flashed the most beautiful smile just as the camera flashed then it reverted back to the anger. She shouldve gotten an Oscar for that performance.
My brother was the bell hop captain in the Waldorf Astoria back in the 80’s and as a result he came into contact with quite a few celebs. I once asked him who was the biggest jerk and who was the nicest. He said Jerry Lewis was one of the meanest people he ever met and Mary Tyler Moore was the nicest.
Jerry Lewis was very bitter near the end of his life. His last interviews revealed a sarcastic bent but admitted he was the bad guy in his split with Dean.

Lewis oozed insincerity. I have always loathed this creep.

A Levine is a jerk.
I don't think he's stupid.
@@hourglasstv01 he's cunning but not intelligent
I've met Dolph Lundren . He's one of the nicest, down to Earth men I've ever met.
