It may seem like that, but were they not the one wanted the wife to leave her mental health husband,nd I think the man knew of it that's why he didn't allow any of her family member in the room.

Sometimes this happens to men who don't listen to their wives good advice. So when they realized life has beaten them and the wife is progressing then they become envious of their wives....All this leads to their mental health issues. So for that matter always the wife becomes their target.
