Nathan has one of the smoothest voices of all commentators. Very easy on the ear. Thanks, Gatekeeper! It's truly great to see Simon finally accept the advice I gave him in 2015. He asked rather drunkenly (and to no one in particular) one evening what he had to do to beat Paul McBeth. As I had been caddying for Feldberg (he beat Simon convincingly) for 5 days, and always on Simon's card, and so I went up to him and said the following: "You don't want to hear the advice I am about to give you, Simon, but it is the correct advice for you. Here is what you need to do to beat Paul: 1) Stop throwing 360s in tournaments 2) Never throw with more than 75% of your power 3) Learn to Pitch Putt 4) Most importantly, stop throwing for the gallery, and start throwing for the lowest score." He was unimpressed with my advice at the time, and I doubt he even remembers it. I guess seven years is a long time to find those things out for yourself - but it's better than never!
After Simon started throwing Paul McBeth “lines” in that one youtube video, something changed inside Simon’s mind. Simon has ALL the shots and when his putter is on, he’s a top 5 player in the world. Dude is legit a beast. Glad his wife and kid get to relish in his 4 wins so far this season. I know we certainly are enjoying it
Home crowd chanting Simon's name as he completes the best season of his career on his home course with a win. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Now to win the Tour Championship.
I am so happy for you Simon! I love to watch you play ... smack those runs of High 5's and humbly accept the accolades you have earned. You, Sir, bring Joy to so many.
I just started playing ,but i went there last week with a buddy who is practicing for a tournament this friday, and its crazy to see how this place has changed in 1 year they are doing a great job.
Kind of disappointed we didn't get to see a lead card check in from the Jomez footage. Felt like it would have provided more context and drama to what's going on
That's why I'd recommend that everyone watch the last 45 mins or so from the final day's stream on dgpt channel. The context between the final three cards, the drama of various birdies and tee shots is unparalleled and is the best way to really get a handle on the epicness that went down here. Worth noting that Jomez didn't have a chase card check in on their coverage either - which also suffered as a result.
It's almost not fair now that Simon has my old magic PD. I always knew it would be something special and that disc was destined to be in his hand. Paul may be the GOAT but Simon is KING of the people!
Whoa! Neat! How'd he come into possession of it? You lose it somewhere in the bush with your name/# on it and he texts you saying too bad I'm keeping this?
A good number ofl the flags are in the reverse order on some baskets. Should be blue on top for the ones with blue and yellow flags. (The final basket is correct). (Hole 10 gets a pass too, and a couple of others).
Who else but Simon should win this event...course pro more or less...in dead of winter he is ice skating and throwing in aces here...knows evert layout...what are they...like 7 now...
Feels like you and Jomez didn't want to lend each other footage for this one leaving each of your coverages anti-climactic. Especially considering you didn't even announce or explain his win.
Yes the teepads are pretty. But the amount of slippage we've seen for an extremely light rain is pathetic. Especially at the number 1 rated course in the world and an elite series event.
Really wished Dustin wouldn’t give us the hole by hole spoiler results from the lead card. A lot of us haven’t watched Jomez yet so it would be nice to not have that ruined. I’ve never heard any other commentator do that except for Dustin.
And I think it's safe to say that Nathan your co-host was expecting you to run with something, because he has said Simon controls his own destiny atleast 6 times. So next time respond to him so he can shut his ass up and stop with the repetition like a broken annoying record
Isn't that special that men won both the MPO and FPO divisions. I used to like seeing the talented ladies play but can't support men stealing from them.
The PEOPLES CHAMPION !!!
Congrats Simon !!!!
Väino's second on 12 was absolutely incredible, and the somersault followthrough was just the cherry on top.
12:00
"do a barrel roll" !!
I was about to say. He's fun to watch.
Simon's putting has been so good this year.
Excellent coverage as always. Hats off to Simon. It’s no surprise why he’s the biggest fan favorite.
Exactly what I was thinking!
I'm proud, we should all be proud of having Simon as a representative. Great stuff Simon.
Lets go Väinö! 🇫🇮
I bet he hears that a LOT.
Seeing Simon win never gets old. A great guy.
Spoiler alert
First comment on here and it ruined a great moment.

Best ambassador of the sport !!!
Him and Matty-O are easily the most fun people to watch coverage of.
Thank you guys!
Love seeing the Ace Run Pro sticker on the cart of Väinö
Love the circle of high 5s with the crowd.
I am so happy for you Simon! I love to watch you play ... smack those runs of High 5's and humbly accept the accolades you have earned. You, Sir, bring Joy to so many.
At 7:50 Simon throws perfectly a patent pending turnover, with those shopping bag sized eye bags 😂. Talking about focus.

Great coverage y’all really captured the flight off so many shots through the woods well
This needs a million views, how cool was that???
I wish Vaino had more dots in his name
I fucking love this sport. Way to go Simon!!!
Kind of disappointed we didn't get to see a lead card check in from the Jomez footage. Felt like it would have provided more context and drama to what's going on
I'm sure they wanted to get this out as soon as possible, not wait for other companies
well in real life there are no "check ins"

one of the most epic comebacks this season.

Shout out to Callaway’s shot to the green on 18, almost went crazy
27:57 Spectator with the long beard is so relieved that put went. If you watched live you know why! 😅😅
Yep!
Simon Lizotte. The Champ
This is interesting, so if it was Idlewild 2020 where last time someone won from chase card Matt Bell was part of both cards :P
Even more interesting, when Matt Bell won from Chase Card in 2019 Delaware Challenge, Simon was also on the card!
@@GatekeeperMedia Can this go deeper? :o
Post the results here if you find anything else! 🤘
So fun to watch. Congratulations to Simon!
great coverage! Keep it up!:) thank you for doing this!
He went from 0 wins since 2016 or something to 4 wins this season
Great to see Simon win here!!
Great work gatekeeper
Fun watching both guys jump in the water after winning😁👍

So I hear Matt Bell is pretty good in circle 2??
Does Callaway smile?
I guess this explains why MVP picked him up!

We love you Portland I mean Massachusetts
Does this make Simon the winningest MPO player at Elites this year?
yes
Him and Ricky have the same amount of wins(4) for the elite series this year
Thank you for the spoiler comments. Now this is very intresting. Its good to know beforehand who wins. Thank you all!
SIMON!!!
Did people boo to Simons win or did i miss hear that
I think they were saying "STEVE" as in Steve Dodge when Simon thanked him.
Congrats Simon, who was that other dude that jumped into the water with him?
Atta boy Simon!
CONGRATS to the 2 men that won MVP Open
❤

DGN for the win.
had to wait 30 minutes to find out if he won... oh yeah gannon was on lead card lmao
Thanks it was disappointing on live that all the cameras where on first and third card while Simmon was shredding the course from chase.
They showed most of his round, at least the back 9. It was awesome.
I swear Simon is the manliest man on the card! Having a baby and getting married is a full flex!
what about Natalie Ryan she's pretty manly
@@fruitysprutey5656 he’s definitely a man/boy, but definitely NOT manly. He is far from being either masculine or feminine for that matter.
Vey nice teepads getting the unnecessary injuries in play

Weird commentary at the end there. Someone should have told them that those fist bumps were when it was already over... nothing nervous about it.
It's safe to say Ben can't play if there was any rain. I mean it's almost safe to say that Ben probably doesn't play humidity well either

Free the FPO!!
Damn that Natalie chick is built like a tank, Ill be shocked if she wasn't on something.
he grew up with 14x the testosterone has any of his opponents
@@charleyweinhardt But still not man enough to play MPO. But as long as HE is happy, he doesn't care.
Simon keeps up this and he’s beating out Paul for the GOAT title in disc golf, although nothing will beat Paul’s world titles

No Big deal that 3rd card player is actually one better than Simon??? Too much foreshadowing Ha Ha Ha I think I'm funny.
