Blocks should not be allowed to be used that late while pitches are being made.
We don’t have to like it but it is a competition and sometimes competitions can be a little brutal but whatever she’s supposed to have and do and be God will make sure of it
shame on jess for blocking keith. that’s so unbelievably sad. she wrote the song ABOUT keith and didn’t even get to work with him. if i was her, i wouldn’t have chosen jess, i would’ve chosen rita to smite jess. that’s absolutely awful.
that was my thought exactly, not choosing the person who stopped me from choosing who i wanted to work with.
Very odd how the block is done in Australia. In US, the coach must hit the block button at the time he/she turns. That late block while Keith was speaking and making a pitch was not cool. And I don't think the battle song was a good choice for either singer.
TroysPop I agree. The block should not be done this late. I didn’t like this Jessie for doing what she did. Keith was taken by surprise n wasn’t happy about it. For me it’s lack of respect n depriving the contestant of choices. Worse to drop her during the battle.

Exactly what I would have done too. I would never pick Jess after that. I would have even said on stage that I wanted Keith too, I would have told her
I know that Jess really wanted her on her team, but it shouldn’t be about winning and getting her on her team. A good coach would want to do whats best for the singer, and take in consideration of what they wanted, not just try to win. This was an opportunity of a lifetime for Kaylee, and she just took it away.

Shame on Jess for blocking Keith. That was really poor form, came across as selfish, deprived Kaylee of what was probably her dream to work with Keith, and probably affected her career. Jess was thinking of Jess and not of Kaylee. So we're thinking of Kaylee and not of Jess. What goes around comes around.

In the USA version you have to block when you push to turn. And typically, if not always (think it is a requirement) they block someone who has not yet turned.
They also put a "steal" into the USA version after the 3rd season, so Keith could have gotten her on his team after she lost the Battle.
Agree!! Should NOT be able to block after everyone has already turned. And put the steals in...like in USA version!!!!
That's new rules, in France it's the same now they can block after the song. It's bad sometimes.

Especially after they have all turned, and are giving their "speals".....
I love it when that happens. A favorite artist does not mean the best coach for that person. It's just means they are a fan of that coach.

If that was me, I would NOT have picked Jess. That’s not the way to “fight” to get someone on their team. The woman literally wrote a song about Keith. She obviously wanted him for a coach. Who is Jess to take that from her? So spiteful. I hate that blocker button.

I didn’t like the song Jess choice and I didn’t like her depriving Kaylee of choosing Keith especially after hearing her story. This blocking thing should be done like the way it is in the US. She dropped her during the battle. She should feel guilty n even apologize for ruining her chance if she chose Keith who is obviously not happy.

Quite Frustrating for this Episode, i was expecting a long series of clip of Kaylee singing. She's not meant for Team Jess, she suits Team Keith, there was the spirit and connection between them since the blind audition. Jess that was a wrong move at the beginning, and how come she can still blocked someone after the performance? Management problem.

That was shocking and disappointing. She shined through that battle and he was a wallflower only standing out because of his barrel voice but it was a lazy performance vs hers, which gave chills. Both of them are absolutely talented and fantastic. I just feel that the wrong choice was made.
Her take on Lucky... unbelievably good. I've seen a couple of other times when a singer takes even a passé song (like Ella Henderson's version of Cher's Believe) and just turns it, makes it so unique and moving. That's what Kaylee did. Another absolutely unexpected and moving performance.
This one is on my playlist after i heard a couple of months... Kieth recognized her in some of his tour i dont know when it is..but shes luckily shes star right now...

Jess said she would fight for her but she didn't. The song choices for the sing-off and the battles were very poor.

She has an amazing voice and I could tell when she was performing the happiness on her face when Keith turned around. I feel sad that Jess blocked Keith but I know that she also fought for her and did as much as she could do as a judge. And hopefully if she comes again she’ll be on team Keith ❤

This audition made me seriously dislike Jess. She just robbed Kaylee's chance to pick her favorite. I would never have picked Jess after this if I were in Kaylee's shoes. On the other side of the spectrum, I totally loved Keith in this audition. You can tell that he was genuinely honored and moved by the song. Bravo Kaylee!!
Seriously that block WAS UNCALLED for, i just lost all my respect for Jess, that was nasty, that block shouldn't be allowed, i'm really p*ssed at Jess, that girl clearly needed to be in Keith's team.

That block from Jess shows why she is not popular outside Australia. In my country,her name is unheard of. Why is she even on the judges' panel?
The truth is, whoever decided what parts of that song each of those singers were going to sing, you cut Kylie off when she would have shown and gave it to finnian. In other words the strong points of that song she led up to him and then they were handed to finian. That really wasn't fair the way that that song was divided because it didn't give Kaylee the opportunity to really shine in it to the very end. In other words there was only one place in that song where she had an entire sentence to sing.
I noticed that as well.
In the American version of the voice, the judges are only allowed to use their block during the audition not afterwards.
And only before the chosen victim turns if they choose to do so for that particular contestant.
I bet even Keith was thrown under the bus when Jess chose Finnian over Kaylee.

Watching Keith's expressions and micro expressions and body language you can definitely tell he upset and disappointed that Jess blocked him. I felt bad for him and for Kaylee. She obviously really wanted him to turn for her so she could pick him. I hope he got a steal and got her on his team after all. I get Jess wantingher in her team, but I feel she should not have blocked Keith in this case.
sis just did a really shity thing istg i could see tear in her eye for a sec and Keith and specially Guy were both speechless. Rita tried to joke but her look at first said what she felt. idk Jess i heard her sing shortly here and there she's great but what she did was REALLY bad (she was so excited to meet him and i can't imagine what she felt that moment)

When Kaylee Bell was not going through in knockout, I am disappointed with coach. If she had been in Keith team would have been till final. Yet, I love Kaylee style and wish all her fan felt the same. Jess blocked Keith coz for sure Kaylee would choose Keith.
Kaylee way outperformed Finnian by a mile but already has a solid career. I'm sure that deal was done before they took the stage. Kaylee stepped aside to allow the youngster a shot at the business. She is a pro and really was way ahead of the amateurs. I'm really happy that they allow unknown semi-professionals to compete in the beginning even though they disappear soon thereafter for whatever reason. It makes for good TV.
