I was acquainted with Moshe Rappaport because we had both taken Tahitian language courses from Dr. Jack Ward at UHM. I remember this incident. He had another incident about him that I do not think many people know. Going around the Tahitian/Ma‘ohi community on O‘ahu was the story that he had gone to the Tuamotus for some research and he made some recordings of traditional songs and chants from one of the islands and he *allegedly* came back to Hawai‘i and copyrighted the recordings in his own name. This of course did not sit well with anyone and apparently the people of that atoll felt quite deceived by him. The people down there are super hospitable by nature and they felt completely taken advantage of. Side note to @No‘eau - what happened to video 60, ke oluolu? The one speech at the UH auditorium (Kuykendall?) about the Joey Carter incident. It is set to private and that is easily kuu wikio punahele.

I had the same experience in LPU, lecturer called "Doctor" Ajoy who have no idea of unities ( of time, place and action) said that 1922 drama " The Hairy Ape" fulfills all the unities. Me and my fren disagreed.
He ordered us to sit according to our roll number like Primary school children the following days. We were doing our Masters in English then.

Yes she did, she inspired generations of Hawaiians to hate America and to be racist against non Hawaiians and to abandon the spirit of Aloha, which is central to their values.
Terrible role model for people wanting to live a good life.

Promoting hate was wrong then and is wrong now .Trask promoted hate but will never be called out on it because she was female and brown.

Trash is the racist. By the way, most people who call themselves Hawaiian are not Hawaiian.

    • @Koreromai

She did not promote hate. She was educated and held strong convictions borne of facts and the truth. She possessed an exceptional command of the English language which she wielded with such dexterity as to make one very uncomfortable. There are not enough leaders of her stature and determination to fight for justice, which, in her case was the plight of the Hawaiian people.

@Koreromai she promoted violence against "white" people, she's a radical leftist who wanted power and didn't care who she harmed in her pursuit of power.
