I remember when we saw scenes like this during last year’s Kharkiv counter-offensive. Just like now, Russian trolls also insisted that those scenes were staged.... and then their heroes abandoned Kherson in a humiliating retreat...

@@diegoflores9237 • Nonesense. Ukraine's counter-offensive isn't moving forward as quickly as its leaders would like but its military has still liberated more temporarily occupied territory than Russia occupied in 8 months of assault.
Ukrainians and their allies all know that it doesn't matter how long it takes but every sadistic, barbaric Russian occupier must be driven from the sovereign territory of Ukraine for its people to live in peace.
Russia's word is worthless. It has violated the United Nations Charter and the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances for Ukraine. Russia regularly violates the Geneva Conventions committing war crimes against civilians and Prisoners of War (POWs.)

I’ve also seen similar videos of pro-Russian ‘Ukrainians’ greeting Russians as they take villages and land. I’m not pro either Russia or Ukraine, just sharing some nuance for anyone reading this comment.

WaPo is reporting that yet another Zelenskyy debacle caused bitter recriminations on Capitol Hill: "The bleak outlook, briefed to some Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill, has already prompted a blame game inside closed-door meetings".
