Well, David was lucky with the singing because in my case, the teacher had slowly moved along the rows of singing children while trying to hear who was singing off key and then pointed a finger at me and said "stop singing, just look like you are". I was so relieved because even at that young age I could tell the song in my head never matched what I produced in song out of my mouth, hahahahahahah!
There are some of their stories that because of the banter, I cannot drink and watch and the Steven Tatlock is one. A mouthful at any given moment will end up across the room up the wall etc.
do you know about peep show? that and his comedy sketch show is how he first became famous. He's also definitely hosted panel shows in the past, although I cant remember which since theres so many.
David Mitchell has hosted the BBC Radio 4 panel show "The Unbelievable Truth" since 2007,. He hosted "The Bubble" BBC quiz/panel show in 2010, and the Channel 4 TV panel show "Was It Something I Said?" in 2011. Sadly "Was It Something I Said?" only lasted one series. I liked it. It's available on UA-cam. To add to @TheJTChris, as well as "Peep Show", Mitchell & Webb starred in Radio 4 sketch comedy "That Mitchell and Webb Sound" from 2004 to 2007. Then the TV sketch comedy series "That Mitchell and Webb Look". Nowadays he's starring as William Shakespeare in the sitcom "Upstart Crow". Best Wishes. ☮
@Tryo707 What there are loads things he has done…you need to get out more. His list of achievements incude, TV, Radio, Films, podcasts, writing amongst other things. The list is incredibly long (too long to put here) and you might benefit from reading it. Scroll halfway down if you don’t want to read the bio first. My guess is you don’t check to see if anyone has commented after you though…because you don’r know where to look….what a waste of my time and I see, several others too. 14:45 I can just make out Hugh Dennis saying to Lee Mack after David Mitchell's lie is revealed 'Do you know how I know that? Cos it was one of my stories...' whilst pointing at himself. Has he written for the show?
That's interesting. I wonder if that it is a regular practice for them to use true (and therefore plausible) stories from some people as lies for others to tell.
I'm sure Hugh would be credited if he was a writer on the show. Maybe it was just similar to another one of his stories on another show or maybe he was talking about something completely unrelated.
It's really difficult to do this game with David. He's so entrenched and predictable as a person, I suspect he rarely does things that are spontaneous or out of character. It must be hard for him to make fake stories seem believable unless they're written to be in his wheelhouse.
I think the noise Rob made concerning the communication of the Star Trek communicator was incorrect. I have not verified this but as I recall the noise Rob made was only when the Captain spoke to the crew from the control deck. Ship wide communication, not the person to person communication that Dave was speaking of. Just saying let us get it right if we are going stop the show.

Yeah, that one is a bad joke. Might be made up for a laugh, but the punchline only works because of a genuine problem. Can tell it's a slightly older episode because I don't think it would fly now.
Babe wake up a new David Mitchell compilation has dropped
How does one wake up a compilation?
"New" being a loosely used term here since I've seen these all 100 times. Oh well, 101 here I come!
All repeats...
Everything you said after "babe, get up" negates the idea you have a "babe"
my favorite British export: Panel Shows featuring David Mitchell
His real life personal stories are the best
"Well, sausage roll" is still one of my faves
"I LIKED THE BELL"

The bell story is actually really wholesome 😂
David, Lee and Rob are such a good trio together! Comedy's Top Gear / Grand Tour boys 😂
Actually, now that I have said it... Imagine a show with David, Lee, and Rob on a road trip! That would be amazing. TV People, take note 😎
There are some of their stories that because of the banter, I cannot drink and watch and the Steven Tatlock is one. A mouthful at any given moment will end up across the room up the wall etc.
David Mitchell is truly wonderful. I've always been surprised he wasn't tapped to host/star in something big of his own. Absolutely capable.

"Who needs people?", indeed!
David can do no wrong. I just love him.😂
Same with Lee Mack, they're such an iconic duo

I think he’s joking that David’s experience happened to him?
He looks so young, bless
Who else loved seeing Rob as "Sugar Daddy" Ken in Barbie?
I Kenjoyed it!
One of the only two funny things in that movie haha
The older guy on Davids team is hilarious!
fully agree, Sir Tom Courtenay is a star in stat story
One of my mates children called their cat (many years ago) The National Coal Board and their pet rabbit was named Trouser leg! Just saying.
Is Lord Buckethead Steven Tatlock?
I dunno, but he's one hell of a guitarist
My kids and I play complex board games quite a bit. In order to fully understand the rules, I often play a few times by myself 😹
Tom Courtney is all class
I used my calculator the same way.. which makes me think true

How is Stephen Tatlock doing these days ?
I think he kicked the bucket. (Sorry!)

You missed him being scared of the sun... sloppy!

@Shellewell T Y 🙂
I get it COULD be a joke, but the problem is not targeted. Instead, excused, for those who previously commented on this thread.
I love them both, but David Mitchell is the only person capable of shutting Lee Mack up!
Yeah because Mitchell has charisma. Macks confidence outweighs his charisma. Its tragic. I skip forward as soon as Mack speaks.
@@Gallo_1.6He's less hyperactive in the latter episodes. Much wittier.
I thought David was getting teary eyed because they were messing with the bear lol
