I like your Videos Straight to the Point. what i Learned in my 15 years recording journey. a Beginner will focus more on Plugs, hardware, youtube reviews. Intermediate will focus less on all these. A Pro will focus on More Technique, Ears , Proper Gain staging, Good Preamp . a 251 in hands of Beginner may not yield best results but Shure SM7b in hands of Pro will make Big Difference. But Agree with you Shure SM7B is bullet Proof Mic even in Bad Room. Thanks for your Honest review.. UA-cam is full of Fake Reviewers for their benefits.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this Tej, I definitely agree that there are obvious differences between new kids on the block and more experienced individuals. The SM7 is definitely a bullet proof method of achieving great results as a new recording artist or engineers 🙏 thanks for the kind words and for tuning in!
I picked up a 251 clone not too long ago. It’s completely changed my recordings. In a good way. Just incredible detail and forwardness. I used the Sm7b a lot too but it takes a lot of editing to get it to sound great in a mix Good recommendations ! Thanks
Vintage U87. Just works on every artist! Sure there are mics with more air and various different attributes but without fail if you can only have one mic a vintage 87 will always get the job done. I used to have access to a whole locker of 87s new and old. When it came time to get one for myself the Peluso P87 fit the bill! I prefer it to modern neumann 87s and only comes second to an actual vintage 87
This is really great info, I’m always trying to get my hands on classic 87 clones, a really dope artist/engineer commented on another video recommending the Stam clone as well and I’m interesting in trying both now! Thanks for sharing 🙏
@RAYNETHESAVIOUR to be honest, i had 8 and kept two. Most of them sounded too dull or had some resonances. I kept one that i really love and one that has a more lofi sound to it that is really great on harsh stuff or that needs a relaxed vibe. Good thing about the stam is-you can use em as xy pairs 😂. If you buy directly from stam you can ask them also tho vice the mic darker or brighter, but as i understand the waiting time can be very long. I bought them used and have only good things to say about the stock mic.
@ wow I didn’t know Stam would do custom work that way too! Stam is certainly not talking about enough online for their expertise and quality but their wait time is certain part of the reason 😂 excited to try all of their stuff 🙏
The SM7B is a mic most people should by at any stage of their recording journey It is versatile and sounds great on vocals and guitars amongst other instruments It's affordable, handles alot spl, is readily available and not as prone to room acoustic inadequacies as many other studio condensers. A no brainer, plus if was good enough for MJ then that should be good enough for many
The perfect vocal mic for me is my Vintage U87 and I love it so much! Versatile enough to sound natural and clear for my acoustic clients and can get into bright modern pop territory very easily if you know what you are doing!

@@thevisualizer305 this is very true! I’ve definitely gotten great results with TLM 103 into a 6176 channel! Soyuz 017 Tube takes eq so well, even extreme settings. It's like using a vintage U67 for less than half the cost. I have tube and FET.
