This place looks amazing, i want to visit it!
Paignton is a lovely town in a really nice part of the UK. Worth a visit 👍
Used to live right by there and always used to hear that siren going off first thing in the morning and afternoon lol got used to it after a while. Moved outta Paignton 2years ago kind of miss it there will have to go up and visit soon
Awesome video! I would not have expected a class 43 down that way, especially in old First Great Western livery too! I do prefer this livery to the current GWR livery I must admit. I just love that alarm! Undoubtably my favourite UK Level Crossing is this one! It's one of my targets this year to visit it again after I last visited here in 2012!
Thank you! 😎 Haha I know you love it when I upload this crossing. I've got another 12 closures to upload still! 43s terminate here from Paddington and some use Goodrington Sidings as a rest (waiting) point before heading back. That's how Sands Road crossing is used by both mainline and the Dartmouth Steam Railway. I probably wont be returning here for a little while considering I've still got tons of footage from each crossing to still upload 😁
This my favourite UK crossing too allso I love the alarm I subscribed to you BOTH😎😎
Thanks 😁
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel No problem
The locos for the NSW TrainLink XPT are actually based on the Class 43 locos!
Great video as usual! Sad that the HSTs are due to be replaced soon (end of this year I think) - majestic beasts - and also for the Pacers, as I’m yet to go on one and it’s quite likely that I won’t before they too are retired.
Thank you 😎 I never knew the HSTs were going. That's a shame however at least I filmed a few nice shots of them arrive and depart Paignton. As for the Pacers, they're really getting on for their age.
Paignton Looks like a nice town to live in i wish i could live here next to the crossing aswell
Yeah, Paignton is quite a nice place.
I agree
And plus, this is actually Paignton North level crossing; Paignton South level crossing is for the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
Yeah it is, I've included its official name in the description. I tend to call this just 'Paignton' as it is the main crossing in the town and its right beside the main station
Great video
Thanks 😉
Good to see that pedestrians waited for the second train or used the footbridge and didn't attempt to sneak across.
Yeah, it's quite rare for something like that to happen. Quite a few people however ignored red lights when the barriers were lowering. A couple almost got trapped.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Like a yellow traffic signal, the lights tell most people to hurry up and cross before the barriers come down.
Nice catch, wonder it those coaches and power cars will come up here to scotrail
Thanks. I don't know what will happen to them. They won't be coming down to the south-east for sure as everything's electric 😎
Hello UK crossings you are one of my biggest fans Edit: thankyou for the reply
Cool 😎 Thanks for watching my videos 👍
Thankyou for the reply
Cool fact: in London St.Pancras I got to start a Virgin Media version of that train lol
Cool 😎
Nice sweeet
👍
A beautiful 125 gliding in like a wingless aircraft.
Yeah I'm very proud of this video 😊😎
Nice video!
Thanks ☺️👍
Used to live there so annoying that crossing always down haha
I can imagine lol
These alarms are so louder then Lincoln High Street
They're not actually that loud. Lincoln's crossing is louder.
