- Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall faced off today in Edinburgh at a launch press conference for their highly anticipated rematch on April 27th in Leeds.
Taylor and Catterall's first meeting ended in controversy, as the then undisputed super-lightweight world champion Taylor walked out with his titles despite being dropped, and beaten in the eyes of the fans.
Taylor has fought once since his bout with Catterall, after vacating his IBF, WBA and WBA belts, he then lost his WBO title to Teofimo Lopez in New York.
Catterall has returned with two victories, defeating Darragh Foley and Jorge Linares in 2023.

I don’t think Catterall will either, I’m a fan of Taylor but Catterall was robbed of the last fight whether he took him lightly or not but will make the fight more interesting in the 2nd bout.

Catterall won a boring and uneventful fight where he countered, held and failed to engage in any back and forth boxing. Sometimes you need to do more to beat the undisputed champion in his back yard, maybe that’s not fair but that’s happened plenty throughout history. Catterall has done nothing since while Taylor won his belts the hard way. Now Jack is acting like this, pathetic.
