- At last, we are working inside of our Vito conversion and restoration. This video shows how to use a tow bar to supply the electricity, gas, and Wi-Fi. We will cover the gas and wifi supply in a later video. We have avoided drilling holes in the roof and sides of the van by using the tow bar as a mounting point for electricity and Gas.

This is literally unlawful in the states. Do you not have a national department of transportation that regulates this sort of thing? No Compressed Gas Association or the like. I guess we'll be seeing you in the news eventually.
Hi, the video is on electrical hookup, but I'd like to take on board your concerns with gas hook-up. The LPG gas bottle has to be stored in a gas-compliant cabinet within or underneath a van. If installed in the van it has to be vented through the floor. The hole in the floor cannot be within a certain distance from a structural member or near (can not be within 250cm) a heat source such as an exhaust pipe. Most people however do have an external filler which can be located on the side of the van, but not under a vent or window. Tucking the inlet under the van is, however, common in the UK. I will take on board your concerns before I make the final connection for the gas, I will double-check the rules.
Is this the first time someone's mounted the services on a towbar?
