Just get your piercings done by a professional tattoo or piercing artist. Lol the funny thing is I have no issue with ear piercings, but when it comes to the tongue, you can actually paralyze your face. Since my ear piercing closed as a kid bc I couldn’t put the new earring in because of the pain so I had to get it repierced… I was literally crying inside until the end 😅
as a professional body piercer, my anxiety went so high watching him put the needle through the top of the tongue, and in the wrong spot. i literally never felt so much relief seeing it was actually a fake tongue. but for real though‼️ don’t do this at home because if you do it incorrectly you could be paralyzed or even worse die from an infection if it spreads to your brain!! please let the professionals handle these kinds of piercings. To add to another comment warning the dangers of self piercing: (aware this is a fake tongue doesn’t change the fact that people think it’s easy to do this for real and do it as it’s cheaper without realising the dangers) If you hit the main vein/artery (can’t remember which) in your tongue you will just bleed out and there’s nothing anyone can do to fix it. That’s why a professional should always do tongue piercings as some people are unable to have them or have to have adjusted placement. Nose and ear piercings are generally safe to do at home as long as you clean and sterilise the surface the tools go on and the piercing area, although there is potentially a small risk of facial paralysis with nose piercing placement so be aware of and prepared for that risk. Also make sure to use an freshly opened pre sterilised canula only never a sewing needle or earring, piercing needles are hollow with sharp tips and have a hole at the top to pull the jewellery straight through the hole you make, they should only be used once and a bigger needle and jewellery should be used first due to swelling which can eventually be changed to a small one when healed. If piercing at home always be sure to at least clean any piercings with warm salt water to prevent infection and if it does get infected take any jewellery out and go to a piercer or doctor for advice on what to do, do not attempt to re-pierce if infection happens. Final thing make sure your piercing jewellery is professional grade and anti allergy as certain metals/other materials can commonly cause irritation or allergic reactions. Obviously it’s always best to go to a professional but if you are going to do it at home, do it safely with sterile equipment

Just get your piercings done by a professional tattoo or piercing artist. To add to another comment warning the dangers of self piercing: (aware this is a fake tongue doesn’t change the fact that people think it’s easy to do this for real and do it as it’s cheaper without realising the dangers)
If you hit the main vein/artery (can’t remember which) in your tongue you will just bleed out and there’s nothing anyone can do to fix it. That’s why a professional should always do tongue piercings as some people are unable to have them or have to have adjusted placement. Nose and ear piercings are generally safe to do at home as long as you clean and sterilise the surface the tools go on and the piercing area, although there is potentially a small risk of facial paralysis with nose piercing placement so be aware of and prepared for that risk. Also make sure to use an freshly opened pre sterilised canula only never a sewing needle or earring, piercing needles are hollow with sharp tips and have a hole at the top to pull the jewellery straight through the hole you make, they should only be used once and a bigger needle and jewellery should be used first due to swelling which can eventually be changed to a small one when healed. If piercing at home always be sure to at least clean any piercings with warm salt water to prevent infection and if it does get infected take any jewellery out and go to a piercer or doctor for advice on what to do, do not attempt to re-pierce if infection happens. Final thing make sure your piercing jewellery is professional grade and anti allergy as certain metals/other materials can commonly cause irritation or allergic reactions. Obviously it’s always best to go to a professional but if you are going to do it at home, do it safely with sterile equipment
