I rescued a staffie out of the woods in Santa Rosa CA... He was about a year old and I noticed right away that he was in bad shape and had a lot of cuts all over him and from the start he was great awake but if he was asleep you couldn't approach him or he'd attack...I rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs but like you if I don't feel comfortable I keep them so now I have three... So this staffie is so friendly with everyone but my third day I wasn't really paying attention and I sat on the couch next to him but he was asleep and he was on me in two seconds and bit my lip pretty bad but it was my fault because he's not supposed to be sleeping on the furniture per the vet cause of his night terrors.... That was six years ago and I've rescued many more but still have him and no more bites.... His night terrors stopped after a few years thank God... But funnily enough his name is sleepy

The problem in the bully breed is that the emphasis has always been on looks and nothing else. Temperament is absolutely vital. A dog that is bred for no purpose besides looking nice is always going to be a gamble.

Bam bam is super spoiled like humans being kids and Bam Bam know he is the favorite one he's smart I watch him as he just let the others learn how to get treats and he stand off to the side and he knows that he don't need to do the same as them. Study the video of Ban Bam watch him. It's will be that one and two and the kid with act out, even your favorite kid. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹I love your dog's they not Prefect, everyday is learning process for human, gets the same for them too. That's gotta be disheartening when you raise them from pups and this happens. I didn't raise many but I had a situation where one of my pups bit a lil girl right in front of me when I told him not to. Didn't break the skin and wasn't a super aggressive bite but it was enough to scare her and make her cry. He almost died that day... My heart was hurt because he was also my favorite, the runt that turned alpha and was super protective of everyone in the house. I still trusted him with us but never with people again. I socialized them growing up but I guess not enough. The girl he bit used to help bottle feed him maybe 10 months prior since their mother wouldn't nurse them from day one. I can't even imagine the feeling if he/they were to bite me, especially hard enough to draw blood.

In my opinion they are the best dogs. My dog has bit me accidentally playing tuggies trying to regrip . It hurt like a mf’r and I bled, but I know it was an accident and my dog immediately became submissive trying to kiss me. It’s just 1 bad day. I love your videos. You’re the only dog guy on here I watch and it’s cause you care more about making a great companion than the materialistic aspects of this absolute specimen of a breed. These dogs are not for weak, passive people. They are also not for angry abusive people. They do best with strong, loving, and assertive individuals with a balanced temperament. We are rare brother. Thank you for sharing and always keeping it 💯. Take care of your dogs sir. 🙌

Mate I know that pain, disappointment, frustration and feeling down on yourself too well.
I’ve been in the dog game (bull and mastiff breeds) for 30 years so have experienced these problems first hand from time to time.
Human aggression, particularly when it’s directed at the owner/handler can be one of the most difficult things to deal with, both from your end and the pup/dogs end. It is concerning when the behaviour presents itself in a young dog/pup but this can be a positive as you’ve still got time to correct it.
Sometimes you need to find out what triggers the behaviour and deliberately recreate it to be able to correct it, but you also run the risk of making matters worse if not done properly.
You may even need to consider getting some outside help to solve the problem.
I think you said it was more than one of the pups that was presenting the behaviour??..if so this may be too big of a problem to handle on your own, it can be hard enough to correct negative behaviours in one dog, multiples in the same pack will be a lot of work.
It’s a tough one mate, you may even have to think of making the heartbreaking decision to destroy the dogs for the safety of all involved such as your family, friends, you personally and the rest of your pack.
I really feel for you brother, I can understand the emotions you’re going through right now, I see the genuine love you have for your pack, I wish you the best of luck with them and hope that you have a positive outcome.
    Much love from downunder Australia.

Awesome video! Great situation do be humble enough to use this opportunity to explain how and why this happens. Breeds like this require so much more responsibility raising them correctly and why they are not appropriate for a first time owner without knowledge of how a dog thinks and why they are reactive. People see aggression and think it’s a mean or aggressive when in reality is fear. I run hunting dogs that are unknown in the majority of the country and they are extremely reactive in unfamiliar situations or feel cornered. I’ve learned these dogs are more reactive to my posture, tone and volume more than any other breed I’ve raised.

Hey.... That's the way it is. I am so glad you didn't sugar coat the experience. A dog that bites a human is not at fault. Keep on they lil asses. They think they know it all. They just babies. Never trust a puppy! Years have taught me that my discipline is what counts. You got this man!!!!

My lab used to be like at 6 months she was very aggressive towards other dogs and strangers I worked with her non stop now she’s a year old and she’s the most lovable nicest dog I ever had it’s hard work and dedication but that’s the job you have to do if you wanna own a animal

this is such a good video. maybe it happened for a reason to educate us all because I'm stuck on this topic with my new 5 month old amstaff. I worry that my energy will ruin the dog because I'm easily agitated and I'm trying to work on my issue I hope I don't ruin my new puppy

Yes it is very important to socialize your dog's early. But also dogs feed off each other and can cause a dog to act differently than if it were alone

I mean the dude isn’t too far off with suggesting a trainer. Anyone that gave you a pup that young is a terrible breeder… unless you rescued it that young? Puppies shouldn’t go home until at the very least 8 weeks of age. The pups learn so much from the mom and the other puppies about things like biting too hard or playing too rough plus they learn to socialize with dogs and learn dog queues. I would definitely suggest a trainer or a puppy play time class so the pup learns these things. Best of luck tho.

This was heart breaking. But you still are an amazing breeder. You know what yiu see in them and you aren't being dismissive about what type of puppies they are. Will you ever breed Baloo again?

My classic use to jump up during feeding time and would scratch me or bite my hand to get to the food. My 10 yo has trained him to only take a treat from a flat hand and to sit outside of the feeding area until the food goes down. Both my dogs sometimes rough us up when they get to hyped up playing. Ya gotta be a consist tough owner to own tough dogs , my opinion.

Puppies are kids, they behavior are the same as human kids . Human kids acts the same way with human parents. I understand the behavior, more you work with them or have someone work with the more their skills development with change but you got to keep working on it cuz they still can learn quickly.

It’s a tricky situation. My dogs were fine until I moved to the country. Now they bark and lunge at everything. It’s sad bro. I know how you feel. I moved so I could give my dogs more space and freedom, a better life. Instead they’ve become a problem.
